to add on, I have this saw and it's a good one though it's major 'flaw' for me it does not allow for a dado blade.

The order will never process. I have been through this scenario multiple times with Sears and received notification from several representatives that orders that remain unprocessed for 60 days will, literally, never process. They will just remain in limbo forever. You won't get a refund either if you paid anything OOP for it. Sears will just keep repeating that they never charged you even though they charged you. It's infuriating.

Cant stay in buisness like that... what a joke. Thanks for the heads up.

Customer service. I also had a screenshot of the Home Depot website of the saw with the SKU number so the customer service desk operator could look it up. I then showed him my phone, he confirmed it was the same model and took 10% off. He did need to get authorization from a manager because it was over $50 discount, but that was done over the phone... then when it looked like a killer deal as it was, I whipped out my $20 off coupon Smilie Good luck!
Shot down at both stores since Sears didn't have any instock locally. Was able to pricematch online for $300, definitely not as slick but a decent deal.

Why not just buy this from another site (Max Tools) for $339? It's only about $10 more after tax (no tax, free shipping to TX). Is it because everyone wants those Sears points?
Quote from s4rah :
When I bought it on April 1st it looked like this:

Sale price $379 - $35 off $300 coupon = $344 - $10 Surprise Points = $334

I already had $42.36 SYW points = 291.66
used my sears card for another 5% so 291.66 - 17.20 = $274.46
got 14% cash back through a site (based on $326.80 )making my cost $274 - 45.75 = $228.71 oh and I got $100.13 in SYW points tax was 16.47.

In the end since I use the points my cost with tax was around $145

This is why I bought mine from Sears Smilie

That's actually pretty impressive!
So mine showed up at Sears today while I was picking up other stuff. It wasn't due in till around the 23rd so that was a nice surprise.

When I saw this posted on the 10th I started an online chat with a Sears rep and requested Price Protection [sears.com].

Since I had not yet picked up the item the transaction wasn't complete but they noted on my account it had been offered at a lower and confirmed it. Soon as I got home I chatted them up again online and was credited back $40 bringing my cost with tax to around $105.

I got it set up tonight and I have to say its a pretty nice saw. Very well thought out. It's not the Powermatic 66 made in the USA that I am lusting for but then I don't have the space for that right now. Flipped the on button for a few seconds, it's a little loud to play with in a townhouse after midnight so that will have to wait till morning. So far I feel very satisfied with my purchase.

Thanks for posting this OP or I might not have noticed the sale to get price protection activated.

Looks like my order is stuck in the "Processing for pickup" limbo, haven't had any status updates since the order was processed. My local sears is just down the road, I figured I'd just stop by and talk with a manager but maybe that's a waste of time...
