It can hold my mom
I bought this hammock about a year ago as well from Amazon also at $65. I have no complaints, it's definitely able to support a lot of weight (so far tested up to ~330lbs) and has done wonders for my sleeping. The previous complaint about the threads snapping after a wash were unfortunately user error, as it states on the instructions (and I think even on the Amazon page) NOT to wash/dry the hammock, spot clean if necessary but do not launder.

All said it's definitely a steal at $50, my only complaint being that lying straight in the hammock with two people side-to-side is not comfortable, but sitting is perfectly fine.
My wife and I are in ours nearly every weekend. I'm about 200 and she's about 120. I have no doubt it can hold 400.

I bought this when it was $80 a couple of years ago, and I have been very, very happy with it. For $50 this is a fantastic deal.

Looks like it's $65 on Amazon, and there are some unfavorable reviews on the build quality / design. Curious if anyone else has reviews to share here.

I bought it in 2015 spring. I was very happy too until this year spring. It was lying in my backyard and the cloth got rain spots all over. I washed the cloth in washing machine. The rain water spot didn't go away but at least the cloth was washed. Real fun was when I put the cloth back and tried to lay on it. The strings broke right away even before I put my whole weight. I was lucky that I didn't put my whole weight.
Anyways very disappointed.

What about the steel frame? Is it holding together well? Hammocks themselves are fairly cheap, but the collapsible frames are typically more expensive.

Well, I didn't get a chance to put full weight so can't say what is the frame condition.

I've owned one for about two years (picked up for $80) and bought another one as a gift for my mom about a year ago. Both are holding up well and I've actually had mine exposed to the Florida weather with no signs of wear or rust. The frame is steel so I can also vouch that the weight rating on these is likely correct. Ive had two people in ours and it held up fine (I'm around 190 for reference). This is a crazy good deal for $50. It also folds up into it's case into a size of probably 1x1x5 (estimating from memory) so it's pretty compact if you want to store it.
