I don't mean to be rude but players shooting high 70's to low 80's (playing by the RULES of golf) are typically very familiar with ball types and already selecting based on their swing.
That aside, this is a 3-piece ionomer cover ball for slow to moderate swing speed beginners. A lot of beginners have a higher swing speed because they're trying to "cream" the ball, that's why I have a separate category for those folks: high swing speed beginners. There are also slower swing speed advanced players. They are also not in this group.
I would prefer ANY ball to a Top Flite. I don't knock many golf balls.... but those things are BRICKS.

Which one is better, Platinum or Black? I usually shoot high 70's low 80's... TIA

usually it changes spin rate and thus ball flight height and backspin. typically if your driver swing speed is above 105 go for the low spin balls.
