You may have to guide the associate to get this deal as it will ring up as not saleable on a regular register. They have to process through WARP Wireless Activation Retail Portal and it can be done as a outright purchase without contract by selecting device only, make sure to help them select this option ask if you can see the screen as they proceed, as many may not be aware but the electronics personnel should know. They need to enter as device only with upc, imei, iccid, and zip code. If they scan the iccid and meid tell them to remove the "a" and "e" that precedes the digits, they also need a zip code, upc along with Iccid and Meid all can be typed or scanned along with upc. This is through their special phone register that allows them to activate phones, this is a outright purchase no contract /plan required.
This will generate a WARP order printout with a Walmart POS barcode. Then they can scan that barcode on regular register to pay and complete sale.
Verizon already comes unlocked.

AT&T unlocks these if you request the unlock before turning them on or plugging them in. Request the unlock as a non-AT&T customer. If someone says otherwise, they are lying.
I was able to unlock just fine. If you do not get an email with the unlock code after multiple submissions, just check the status, you will be surprised that the code is already there...
