Just curious, why do you guys add a backstory to your purchase?
Absolutely nothing wrong with it but I just find it kind of interesting... Do you feel like you have to publicly justify it before pulling the trigger?

The Anova Precision Cooker is the perfect device for the home chef. It's easy-to-use, lightweight, and connects to your smartphone, allowing you to cook the perfect meal with the touch of a button.
LOL, good timing .... was just looking to order one from Macy's earlier today since I've been sitting on a $50 GC that I don't have anything to use it on from there
just saved me $50 (even though I wasn't going to pull the trigger at Macy's since $99 seems to be the price you can get it for with a good discount like this)
Although not available now, I believe the wifi version has been lower in the past. If not in a rush to have one, maybe wait it out. I've been kinda looking out for one as well.

unless I'm missing something, pretty sure the wifi model is available
the link defaults to the bluetooth version .... just click on the wifi option (icon) under connectivity
I was waiting for the Anova Wifi deal to come back, thank you OP! Will ship my older Anova to a friend as a belated bday present and he wanted to get into sous vide cooking.
Thanks! Although not the cheapest it's been, I've been waiting for a deal to come back around for this. Been wanting to try sous vide out for a while, got a deal alert, pulled the trigger!

Totally unrelated to the deal.

Uh-oh, it never crossed my mind that those types of accounts were fake/marketers. Now I'm going to second-guess everything.
I do however own the Wifi model and it's great. Been using it daily for a few months. Pretty sure Best Buy had it cheaper a while back but it's still a good price.
