Guys, to those who plan on buying device from Samsung.com,
myunidays.com is offering student discount on Samsung phones, It mentions up to 20% discount. But it *may* void the 750 rebate.

Multiple people have checked with Samsung rep, and were told a new line is required. Note: Term and conditions does NOT state NEW LINE but only ACTIVATION ON POSTPAID WITH DATA. Other users have confirmed this with reps, with chat pages saved, phone recordings...

As for Activation,
Shop Samsung App allow pre-activation. and the promotion page (click on the promotion on dicovery) on the app says rebate will be accepted.
if still skeptical. go to samsung.com somehow normal link to "my account" doesn't work. I tried INCOGNITO, and it lets me log in and start activation.

Once you get the phone you have to go to Samsung promotions site and register with the imei, proof of purchase. Once they validate they will send the code to your email.

You can use Shop Samsung app to register your promotion. In the app, go to Menu > My Promotions, and register. For proof of purchase, take screenshot of your order (hold power button + volume down to take screenshot).

Those of you who are getting "service not available please try again" error while activating the phone from samsung.com. Please try to activate one of the phone using the line on any of your friends T-mobile account. Put your friends Sim and press activate. I confirmed from samsung and it is fine if you activate one phone on your friends number. You dont need to keep using that phone on same number to get rebate. Just activating is fine.

Isnt this deal better than through tmobile as you get the $750 back within 7-10 days after activation. You only have to activate 1 new line.

I don't believe the 10% cashback from Discover applies to phones last time I checked in late April. Has something changed?

I'm thinking activating a line means you just have to pop in a T-Mobile SIM card to one of the devices to register it in the network. I've went through the entire checkout process to see if any activation options were available and couldn't find nothing.

Going by the terms and conditions, activate at least one of those eligible devices on the T-Mobile network via Samsung.com, either at the time of purchase or within 14 days of your receipt of the eligible device.

If this is the case, this is way better than the T-Mobile deal which requires you to add a new line and you have to wait several weeks for a rebate card compared to being refunded back to your original payment method in 7-10 days.
