SVS just started their outlet Memorial Day sale. Great markdowns on everything from speakers to top-of-the-line subs. Defects are clearly marked and everything comes with a 45-day trial + 5-year warranty. Sorry -- I took the last PC-2000 ;-)
For those with access to a Frys the Klipsch R-115SW is comparable to the PB2000 and has routinely been going on sale for $399 (sometimes including a wireless kit you can resell to get 50-70 bucks back too)
For those without Frys access $649 for a PB2k is a nice price.
Only way I would go with the R-115 is if you got in on the frys $400 sale. Otherwise PB2000 will blow Klipsch.
Klipsch tend to inflate their specs compared to real world stats

Someone is dreaming on that statement. LOL
Please show a reputable review of both against each other.

Agreed, gonna plug my 115SW into my BOSE home theater.
Thanks for the heads up! I purchased an SB-2000 earlier this month from the outlet (and I'm loving it so far!). The damage they mentioned is barely visible.
I sent them an email asking if they would adjust the price as part of their 60-day price protection.
With a 45-day in-home trial period and free return shipping if you decide not to keep it, it really is a no-brainer to give it a try if it's something you are looking for. Never thought I'd spend this much on a subwoofer though!
EDIT: I already got a response. Their customer service so far has been great.

Customer service is definitely part of what you are paying for. They really have been top notch for me and even answering calls on the weekend.
He directly compared the R-115SW to not just the PB2000 (including FR graphs of both in one of his comments) but also even more expensive subs in this class from Hsu and PSA

When I measured the PB-2000, I got CEA-2010 averaged results of 119.7/116.3 dB (40-63 and 20-31.5 Hz, respectively), compared with 123.2/114.6 for the Klipsch. So the PB-2000 might have very slightly more deep-bass shake (although that's only +1.7 dB more, maybe not a readily audible difference at such low frequencies), while the Klipsch will probably have better punch and slam for explosions, kick drums, etc.
Mind you-it's the only Klipsch sub that actually competes against the big ID guys- but it does it, and does it exactly as I said.
Now- at their respective MSRPs ($799 for the SVS and $899 for the Klipsch) I'd take the SVS all day every day.
But at the Frys sale price of $399 (or potentially $330-350 with the wireless kit included) it's an utter no-brainer to skip the SVS if you have access to the deal.
And lest you think I've no idea what good subs sound like- I own a PB2000. (purchased over a year before the Frys deal became a thing). And I also own several other subs, including at least one that outperforms anything SVS makes including their new PB16U.

Sorry if you were looking for prime gloss speakers anyone. I bought all the good ones the moment the email hit. Sadly the PB-1000 I wanted had sold already. Oh well it was for another room and I didn't really need it anyway.
SVS started their Memorial Day savings on outlet speakers and subwoofers. Open box and blemish items are an additional savings. YMMV as items are made available.

Nope. See the review below where they're objectively measured using CEA-2010 standards.
Klipschs lesser subs yeah skip em- but that one is the real thing.
I'm not dreaming at all- it's a fact.
Easy.
