Hi all,
I came on here after having learned a valuable lesson about tires from simpletire.com. First lesson is always check the year of the tire they send you.
So 2 years ago I purchased a set of tires and had them drop shipped and installed on the car. The tires never felt balanced correctly. I took it to 3 shops ($$) in total and finally I went to the actual tire dealer who made the tires and luckily the company (Dunlop) decided to give me another set. At Dunlop, they put the tires and balanced them. I then asked the guy if he could check it again after it was balanced. The tire came back as unbalanced, again this was after balancing. The rims on the car were brand new btw. Same with the other side. I never checked or knew about the DOT on each tire that tells you the year it was made. Anyways got the new tires, the balanced and no issues.
Come this year I need new tires for my suv. went with simpletire again. Four tires and this time 2 of the tires were over 6 years old! I called the company and they sent me replacement tires. Had I not checked the year of those tires, I would have been installing very old tires and rubber degrades with age. Plus the tires even looked old paint on white wall was nasty and old looking.
So if you are sitting on the fence about simpletire, think about it really hard. Old tires are dangerous. They can send you up to 4 year old tires. They are basically selling old stock at a discount price.

As a First Responder (ID.me certified), I was told that an order I was placing would be credited with their 5% discount. When I followed up - no response from the Service Support Team. When I asked to elevate my issue I was told "no one else can help you". When I tried to communicate with the company leadership I was told "they aren't available". And, this wasn't a half hearted attempt to give feedback....both Andy Chalofsky and Josh Chalofsky are firewalled from customers.
Their prices are good - but IMO doesn't make up for the lack of integrity.
WRT your 6 year old tires, of course, just like everything else these days YOU are the quality control.
