After having used countless phone mounts, this one is the best I've come across for stability, consistency and overall use. Great deal. My only issue (and it's slight) is that it does not mount flush (level) with the CD insert, so it drops below a bit and covers the touchscreen in my car (used for backup camera or some use for media. Otherwise, highly recommend.

There shouldn't be any damage to the player, it's not supposed to be inserted into the CD player all the way. I have one similar to this one in all 3 of my vehicles and the CD player works flawlessly over the 3+ years I've had them in.

This is a pretty good mount. As long as you don't over tighten it, it won't damage the CD player. There is one design flaw that bothers me. Because of the distance between the CD mounting section and the actual phone section, the phone tends to wobble a lot when driving. Personally I prefer this to windshield, dashboard, and air vent mounted phone holders. The jaws can handle my LG V20 and a hefty Spigen case.

agree 100 percent, works great and stable with some huge phones, 6p and huge Huawei
