Is the Talon pretty much the best router you can buy right now?

In for a second C9. The first one has worked well in a four story row house, getting all the way to the basement.

My only question is whether this will be a V1, V2, or V3? Amazon doesn't say.

Since I double posted, this router has given reliable performance with only occasional resets when things get weird.

nice - I'd been eyeing the new RE650 AC2600 Extender recently. Usually $149.99, it's $30 off in this sale plus there's a $20 clipped coupon on the page, dropping it to $99.99. Sold!

I have the AC1200 Archer and it has performed flawlessly. (My ISP plan is 300mbps and I live in a 1 BR apartment.)

Easy to upgrade firmware.

Powerline adapters are on sale as well. I grabbed this one one sale for $48 (usually $60).

I have the Archer C9 v1. It worked well until it became horrible. Started rebooting, losing connection etc. I upgraded to the latest DDWRT firmware and it is now a workhorse! No more issues at all.

I was leery when I bought the C9 as I have been a Netgear person for a while, but I have been pleasantly surprised. Better menu, great range, and thus far has been very reliable.

Good find OP.

I bought the TC7650-E modem. Anyone have any experience with it? Seems like a good deal @ $30 less than anyone else. Needed to upgrade my SB6120 since Comcast suddenly cut my connection without notice later advising it was no longer compatible.

I have the 1200 router. Been having some issues with smarthome devices on the other side of the house losing connection. Would it be smarter to upgrade to the 1900 or get the extender?
