(a very authoritative site run by Sprint engineers and insiders)
shows
SIMGLW446C or SIMOLW416C for G5Plus
and
SIMGLW416Q for G5s Plus
So there are the parts for two very similarly named phones. I think we can see how people got confused between them.
I have to assume if I sign up for this now that I will have the Free service until 7/31 vs going by the date I sign up. Glad I couldn't find a phone
However, the SIMOLW416C is NOT listed as OK for a G5 Plus at the Ting web site even though it's listed as OK at the other site above.
The SIMOLW506C will also definitely work with the Moto G5 Plus and it should be readily available, as it is part of the Boost Sim kit sold at Best Buy for $10.
I've used it on the Moto G5 Plus but I bought it from the Sprint BYOD dept and it was shipped to me for $10. This Sim was not available at the Sprint corporate stores when I was looking for it some months ago. It was available only at a Sprint Dealer store but the price there was $25.

This post here states that the Best Buy kit contains the SIMOLW506TQ, NOT the SIMOLW506C: (CORRECTION, IT IS INCLUDED, SEE POST # 18954 BELOW)

IF you also have one of the iPhones listed on the Ting web site above as compatible with the SIMOLW506C, you may be able to get it for free at an Apple store.

I got the G5 Plus for around $230 or so, but the Essential phone is better and is on par with the latest Google Pixel phones and it has 128 Gb of memory.

But thanks to a LOT of information sharing by some great people here, and they know who they are, we all have navigated these issues and benefited from all the shared knowledge!
So, I have a Sprint Moto E4 (it was bought at Best Buy and used on Ring+ only). I entered its IMEI number to the Spint BYOD checker and it says: "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account."
Then I contacted LiterallyUnlimited, and unfortunately he couldn't fix it. Below is his response:
This phone is a Sprint prepaid phone and isn't eligible for Sprint. It fails C2 of my post here:
[C2] **Phones with SPP, BST and VMU SKUs out of the box**
These are phones that are branded with Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile or Sprint Prepaid out of the box. These phones were designed to only ever be used with these brands. Sprint will not activate them, even if the phone ownership flag [A] is set to the right position.
These phones were typically sold at a discounted rate with the understanding that they would be only ever used on that prepaid brand. These phones can sometimes be used on MVNOs like Ting, once financial eligibility has been met. See Financial Eligibility [D] later in this document.
Tech support will not reSKU these devices, and you're unlikely to ever be able to activate them on Sprint Postpaid.
I'd probably still have mine at that price.
For the sim cards, go ahead and order the sim card from here. https://www.twigby.com/shop/twigb...s/simcards
Or you can just go to the cart and you should be able to see the sim card model number for each phone. Hope it helps.
Some random thoughts:
BestBuy didn't have moto e4's on the shelf for 500miles, rude employee when I asked to buy just the SIMs. Another employee heard her, said he has what I want, and got a stack of sims from the cabinet, got me the correct SIMGLW446C for the Lg g5, $10, not a wasted trip.
Target was next door. Target has several moto e4's same price $130 as BBuy. Target also has the Boost BYOP activation kit with the 3 sims inside, $10. Sims inside are good for Moto e4 , Lg V20, moto g5something or other. thanks to HunterOne's spreadsheet links, i had several SKUs written down, and could now order any phone online leisurely with the SIM card in hand.
why was I so hesitant and ask so many questions before? WIKI's mention that the Unlocked Moto e4 apps can't handle either Sprint IPv6 or IPv4 is absolutely correct. For one, PDANet does not work on the unlocked Moto e4. The Sprint LgG5 will be rejected by the sprint website IMEI check, but will work as a 2nd device. Sprint Lg V20 will work as a first device. Somebody edit/add the wiki!... oh wait, i 'll do that

I have two Sprint Prepaid LG Tribute HD's that are prepaid, and of course are therefore rejected. I also have two Tribute HD's of postpaid origin, current running on this plan.
LiterallyUnlimited or anyone can only push Sprint-postpaid origin phones back to Sprint. from MVNO status.
