Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

My eBay Sprint Lg g5 IMEI shows it is eligible on Ting's and even Sprint's BYOD websites, but on Sprint's 1yearfree website, it says
"Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer". Using my Verizon number.
That is just a plan policy rejection for this plan. But those are often not enforced.

It may be accepted over the phone or you may have to swap it on or add it on an existing plan at least.

So, I ported out two numbers from my original Sprint free year from July 2017 to T-Mobile, and used a new SSN to open a new sprint account, but when I did the port into sprint, one of the phone numbers had an inverted number. They actually called me to say the port wasn't working. Then they somehow caught the fact that the number went from Sprint to T-Mobile then back to Sprint in less than 48 hours; their words exactly. One number ported just fine, but the one I made a mistake is where they caught me, even though both ports were the exact same scenario.

So, I did the HUCA. They still continued to say that the number I was trying to Port over was not eligible, but they provided me a new "temporary" phone number on the one year free unlimited plan, and said that I could call back after couple days and then Port my old number over. Has anyone heard of that even being possible? I don't want to lose my number of 15 years(Well I won't actually lose it, but I won't be able to use it on the unlimited free year..) 😏
Yes some have done that. Should be fine.

Thanks. You wouldn't happen to still know what were the SKU's of the Sim cards you used for the Sprint Lg V20 and G5? And/or if the same SKU applies for both LG phones?

My eBay Sprint Lg g5 IMEI shows it is eligible on Ting's and even Sprint's BYOD websites, but on Sprint's 1yearfree website, it says
"Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer". Using my Verizon number.

I've never done this deal, so if the site won't let me order a sim, I'll have to get one at bestbuy and call in... There's no guarantees that another v20 will let me order a sim either. Or am I throwing good money after bad at this point?
I bought 3 sprint phones for this deal from ebay. LG G5, v20 and s7 edge. G5 and S7 edge showed ineligible when I checked online, but it worked when I called in to that number. Lg v20 showed as eligible, but I still called the number with the v20 IMEI. I had an issue with my first s7 edge as the phone was not paid off by the ebay seller. I returned it and bought another s7 edge from a different seller. Before shipping, I got the IMEI from the seller and verified with Sprint Before paying (Won in a bidding) for the phone.

For the sim cards, go ahead and order the sim card from here. https://www.twigby.com/shop/twigb...s/simcards

Or you can just go to the cart and you should be able to see the sim card model number for each phone. Hope it helps.

Thank you for reply.

I chat with Sprint billing specialist, but no luck. She couldn't help me, but the billing chat agent gave me phone number, so called, but again same thing they explain; I choose the plan, and the free plan only via promotion, so no plan conversion between two.
Very strange. Once I order SIM card via 1yr free promotion page, when the activate the SIM and phone, I couldn't see BYOD plan or free plan. I only remember Unlimited Freedom plan.

Anyway, I will contact one more agent tomorrow, and if not, then port out to Red Pocket. $65/month Sprint service is not for me.
Do you have any other social security number/family member that you can use?

Does anyone know if the phone line (866-782-8777) for the BYOD free year plan work for 24 hours? If not, what are their working hours?

Similarly, what are the working hours for T-mobile pre-paid? Could someone confirm what phone number to call for T-mobile pre-paid? I found several different phone numbers and not sure which one is correct.
The Sprint BYOD free year plan dept. is open M-F 6am-11pm, and Sat/Sun 7am-11pm CDT.

For T-Mo dial 611 from any phone with a T-Mo sim in it. Or google it.

That has nothing to do with sim cards. You never need to change the sim on a working Sprint phone.

That is just a policy rejection for this plan.

It may be accepted over the phone or you may have to swap it on or add it on an existing plan at least.
Thanks for the quick reply,
But since I've never done this deal, don't have any Sprint SIMs, don't have a Sprint account, and just ordered a Sprint Lg g5 that got rejected.... I'm contemplating what my next move is. ... What if I order another sprint phone (v20) and still gets rejected too? I was looking at the popular Sprint moto E4 on Amazon, but wiki here says it may not work with IPv4. If I block ipv4, only Google shows up for me on ipv6. I'm willing to try that rejected lg as a second line, but I can't find a phone to use as a first line to even start a Sprint account. Any recommendations under 200$ ? Thanks.

E4 is fine but the deal may close to new takers on Thursday so I would buy at Best Buy in person. Others have posted phone recommendations that are more detailed than I could suggest.

Pretty well all needed sims are included in the Best Buy Boost sim kit $9.99.

just tell them that you are ready BYOD. and give them IMEI and ICCID (SIM) number. that is what i did for my LG G5. She didn't say anything about the device. she asked me if i checked the device eligibility and i said "yes" that is it.

acct is created and activated. but LG G5 phones that I ordered were not activating. I am returning them tomm. I think it is not Sprint phone even the seller said it is. I spent a few hours to fix but never worked.

Ordered LG V20 today.

Since this BYOD Free offer expires in less than 48 hours it may be best to just run over to Best Buy and get a :
Moto E4 UNLOCKED & UNACTIVATED requires this Sprint Sim Part #: SIMOLW416Q and you may be able to get it for free or $2.99 at any Sprint CORPORATE store, NOT Sprint DEALER stores. OR buy the Boost triple Sim kit at Best Buy for $10.

Glitches happen so it's best to do this expiring deal asap so that there may be time to correct them.

Hope you get your LG V20 tomorrow and I hope it works even though it's not on the eligible phone list. Some reps may be particular about this but if refused call again.
However, as stated above, time is running out here and you may not want to take chances and experiment and hit the wall!

Thx for your quick reply, rep'ed. I just called TMO and it keeps asking me for a 10-14 digit activation code that can be found in an activation kit. I don't see it on the TMO SIM card that I got from the Apple store. What should I do?

Also, just to add, I don't have a phone number yet, thus need to get a new phone number from TMO. Another thing, is it safer to actually put the TMO sim into the phone that I'm going to use for the Sprint BYOD, or it doesn't matter? Thanks again!

1. Speak with a T-Mo HUMAN and the activation code is not required.
2. You'll get a prepaid T-Mo phone # from the T-Mo Human.
3. You don't have to insert the T-Mo in the phone, but it doesn't matter.
4. Make sure you get the T-Mo account #, that will be the prepaid phone # that you get and you MUST add an 1 in front of it. Also make sure you get the account PIN that you'll create, perhaps with the help of the T-Mo Human.
Without those you can NOT port out of T-Mo and into Sprint. This port should take less than 15 mins, most likely just a few mins.
You do NOT have to fund the prepaid T-Mo account to do the port.

Should I call this one... To activate, call: 1-877-778-2107?
Try inserting the T-Mo Sim into the phone, turn it on, and TRY to call 611.
It should work.
If NOT try: Call from another phone: 1-877-746-0909

You must speak to a CS person, not use the automated system.
