FREE MONEY if you bought a product with a L-Ion battery. ~$40 mil settlement

+586 Deal Score

I don't expect this to be as lucrative as the LCD and CRT settlements, but you can get free money in a class action price-fixing settlement over L-ION batteries by submitting a claim online.

Proof of purchase is not required for Individual claims.

However, they DO require a mobile phone number at the last page to prevent spamming claims.

You qualify if you bought these products with L-ION batteries between Jan 2000 and May 31, 2011:
  • Laptop PCs
  • Notebook PCs
  • Netbook Computers
  • Mobile Phones
  • Smart Phones
  • Tablets
  • Digital Audio Players
  • Cameras
  • Cordless Power Tools
  • Camcorders

You can file an Individual or Business claim here:

https://www.reversethecharge.com/

All you have to do is tell them how many of each category of item you estimate buying in the claim period from 2000-2011.

They haven't said how much, but the pool is around $40 million, so nothing to sneeze at. Claim period lasts until Nov 2017, and payments are expected in 1Q 2018.

$40 million divided by every person in America, Woo Hoo! Big money! Claimants will probably end up getting a bill after lawyer fees, check printing, postage, etc....

It will have a negative amount on it for your bill, when you deposit it they'll deduct the money from your account laugh out loud

Might as well throw the hat in. I always enjoy the surprise checks that show up years after putting in for these things that I've totally forgotten I've put in for.

People said that on the LCD settlement and talked their way out of $400-$1000 checks - for individuals! Businesses got more.

This is about 1/10th the size of that pool so still a $40-$100 payout is possible.

Yeah, the payout pot is 1/10 the size but the pool of eligible people is much larger. Anyone who bought an L-ion product over 11 years, that basically every person in America, many people surely bought multiple products that qualify.

How about that diamond settlement? Overcharged by $2,600 and got a check for $35...
