Not bashing at all and this is a serious question but can a regular sound junkie like myself (not super hard core into it) actually notice a difference between a good 7.1 $1200 system and a $3800 system mentioned here? or does it just turn into the room size after a certain quality.

imo anyone who can tell you that for sure, is likely either to lie to you or not have a clue. here is why (not counting that $3800 bundle comes with a pretty high end receiver).

1. other elements play fairly big differences, such as your room size/dynamics/angles.

2. do you have alot of reinfections or hard/flat walls/floors?

3. how you position speakers.

I would think same would apply as kin headphones or camera... the higher end you go, the more diminished returns are, unless you can really amplify the improvements, and then you can hear significant difference.

many buy these + get 2 subs and wall treatments (there are some really nice ones available). they have a nice soft rug in front as well.

these are also build nicer, have nicer finish and likely be as good for 10-20+ years where as lower end models may not have more layers of lacquer, or have better isolation, spiked feet and/or have interference at higher volumes.

one thing is clear, these are the best prices if you're in the market for LSI models.

this is a stupid question but can you get atmos with these speakers? i don't see atmos in the specs of the M707 towers

also for the below 2 bundles, are the higher tier tower pair and center worth it over the slightly cheaper bundle that also throws in 2 surround speakers?

hard to say, both are strong. just depends what you need/want.
as for atmos. no, these aren't atmos. but, i imagine any atmos speakers will work?

Any upward facing or high mounted speakers can work for atmos. You can use the bookshelf speakers for that, but that's overkill.
