Merchant Feedback - Walmart

We found a good deal on SlickDeals for an item being sold at Walmart. We went online & ordered the item without a problem, got a confirmation that day. Four days later they charged the order total to my credit card and three days later we got notified that it was available for pickup. A few days later we went into the local store. Our order was for a case of a cleaning product. When we got our order the box was small. They opened it & there was one can, not a case. They called fulfillment who just said that they wanted to give us a refund. They also said that they couldn't/ wouldn't sell us the case because they would lose money, never mind all their communities. We talked to a fried of my sisters, who works at Walmart, who said that this was a common occurrence, & that they won't shop online there. This is the Store that is vigorously trying to compete with Amazon. We regularly shop at Amazon. Their prices a great, and customer service is exceptional! They'll reply to your email within 6-12 hours with the sole goal of making it right. They always have & we shop there all the time. Walmart just doesn't get it! Treat your customers wrong & without regard for their satisfaction & you will lose them as a customer. They'll also tell their friends, who will tell their friends, & there go a number of customers. I just wanted to tell all my friends from Slickdeals. Take care & be careful where you shop.
