This might be more trouble than its worth, but if they don't do an "adjustment", then just bring your receipt. Go buy all the exact same items with the coupon, then push the newly purchased items to the return counter and return them with the old receipt.

I literally brought a bunch of plastic bins last night. This morning, I wake up and see I could've saved $3. Luckily, I'm not too far from Ikea... and I actually wanted something that cost $160 anyway...(needed to bring a friend and his truck)

Probably - give the store a call and ask first. I have seen folks have luck with similar IKEA coupons retroactively.

sigh wonder if I should bother with one of their sofa couches. They look so miserable and felt either REALLY hard/stiff or the complete opposite. For visitors ofc.

I'm wondering the same thing. The coupon states that it can't be transferred. This coupon ends with a number '1'; and the coupon that Ikea mailed to me is exactly the same, except my coupon ends with a different number. Since there is such a tiny variance in the coupon number, I bet it's probably valid for multiple purchases..

personally, i really like the kivik line of their couches. i have owned the "sofa" section and a "chaise" connected together in an "L shape" for 5 years. cushions still have at least another 5 years left in them. the replaceable covers are a very nice bonus. we originally bought a purple type cover, but recently moved to a new house and the purple wasn't going to work with the paint color in the living room... so it was either repaint the new living room or buy new covers for the couch. ended up being about the same price and MUCH easier to just change the couch covers.

we actually bought the new set of covers on ebay as it was a discontinued dark grey color and cheaper than any of the current ones direct from ikea. FYI, it seems like the new options for their kivik covers are a lot more polyester vs. cotton so there is another reason to look at ebay or amazon for covers. you can also find individual covers on ebay in case of a rip/stain on a single cover.

before this kivik couch, we had one of those ~$300 value city junkers with the attached back pillows and i always felt like i was falling off of it. the kivik is deep enough to even comfortably sleep on.
