Was waiting for this deal to return, but, I heard that the last time around, many people got their speakers damaged during shipping and dealing with Adorama was not pleasant.

Anyone who did get them delivered in a good condition?

most arrive fine, but some obv get damaged but that's not their fault... returns are obviously painful for everyone...

$150 cheaper than last time but this time its 440C instead of 450C. How different/better is 450C than 440C?

I ordered it last time (I think 5 weeks ago?).
For the first shipment, both the RP-280f came damaged and were returned.
For the second shipment, one of the RP-280f came damaged and returned.
Hopefully third time is the charm. They shipped out the RP-280f today for the third time.
Customer service is not bad but the process is really slow and i am not 5 weeks out and still waiting for my set to be complete.
The deal however is too good to pass IMO.

I bought last time at 1300. They are great speakers and everything arrived in great shape. Even if the boxes were to have been damaged there is lots of extra room and added Styrofoam padding.

when you look at what is in the box , it says 450c for center. i called to clarify but they are closed.

I'm going to be that guy. I took screenshots of the "What's in the box" section saying I was getting the 450c and also one other place on my order confirmation screen. I sent them a lengthy email with my screenshots proving what I ordered and what It says I'm getting. If they do not send me the 450c I will be upset as that was the pretense I bought it from. I'd pay another hundred or two to have the better center. I won't feel complete without it.
