This camera is refurbished by Nikon U.S.A. and it comes with 90-day warranty. For a full review of the Nikon D810 DSLR camera, head over to DPreview. ~ persian_mafia
A 90 day warranty for a $2,000+ camera? Isn't that a little absurd? For comparison, my refurbished 80D has a year of warranty
Agreed, 90 day warranty is crazy but consumer protection laws in the USA let them do it. Minimum in Canada is 1 year on refurbs. IIRC you get a full 1 year on refurbs directly from Nikon, but their pricing isn't very competitive. I thought Cameta had 1 year warranty on refurbs too, but they were always sold out of the D810.
Great body for sure. Three years old and Canon still can't make a sensor that gets better image quality.
As someone who owns Canon glass, the state of Canon is darn depressing... And it isn't like this is recent either, they've been behind the curve for years, and are only slipping further and further.
Only reason I haven't jumped ship is that I can never decide between Sony and Fuji. Nikon is fine too, but m43 converted me to an EVF lover (since I can review shots without taking my eye off of the viewfinder, see real time histograms, and focus peaking).
The Nikon 1 is mirrorless, but a downgrade from even m43, so meh.

The few that did have an issue, were able to have Nikon repair for free, even after the 90 day warranty expired.
But, is that a risk to take on a $2k Nikon? Not in my opinion.

I've expressed the same skepticism about refurbed Nikons. The vast majority of people say they never had an issue with their Nikon refurbs.
