This is a freebie site that has everything!!!!! The cool thing about this site is that they show you pictures of the deal (kinda like yelp i guess), and you can search by location (you can save your time and find what you're looking for around your area), by categories or by keywords yummy

I know. Sadwalk

I totally thought had it when they were up 5-2, but I guess maybe there's some truth to the idea that a 3-goal lead is the hardest to keep in hockey. Dontknow

I turned it on at 10 to listen to it, not thinking about what time it was. But, oh well, no big deal, there will be another game and another re-match.

But, the next interesting one should be the "winter classic" with Chicago. I would like to go. But, that would involve freezing my arse off for three hours. I did that the second day of the season with the Tigers last year in 39 weather. So, I think I'll pass, plus, the cost of tickets and travel....

My friend got me a ticket, but I'm not sure if I want to go... I mean, it would obviously be super awesome, and I'd love to go... but I need to save my vacation time (along with some money) for some trips in '09. Plus, cold. Very cold. Cold

We'll see. Dontknow

Haha... we'll see. The tickets I've seen have been going for absurd prices, so it may be better to just sell it (or have him sell it) and watch on TV somewhere. As awesome as it would be to say I went, I am not so much a fan of freezing my rear for hours when I won't even have a great view of what's going on. I mean, I already have to wear like three layers when I watch the Caps play in the Verizon Center. laugh out loud

I can't wait for Feds to come back. I miss watching him play. Sadwalk

Today we remember veterans...our soldiers past and present. To say we thank them is to fall ineptly short of the gratitude they are due. What is it inside soldiers that enables them to risk their lives, witness death and destruction, then rise to meet each day to do it all again? Are these brave men and women hard-wired at creation or does that desire for duty merely spring up in response to threats and attacks to their ideals or the country they love? Today in Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Congo.....it seems the entire world is involved in war and fear, but today, just like yesterday and tomorrow our men and women in uniform will be our proof and reminder of what is good, honorable and possible in
all mankind. Let us pray for soldiers everywhere. Let us pray for calm and assurance for their moms, dads, grandparents, children and all friends and loved ones. Let us pray hardest for peace, everywhere.

Today, thank a veteran. Everything we have has been made possible by a soldier's unwavering committment to honor, duty and country. God bless them all and GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Hello all - it looks like people were doing a little better today and I and happy to read that.

Well wishes and love to all of you here. Grouphug

PT with Mom went well.
They have most of the dead tree in the back yard of the new home down now.
Electricians were there re-doing outlets, service, and adding some new stuff today.
Hardwood floors are coming along, but taking far longer than planned.
Busy around here lately.

Very nice to have SP hanging with us as a regular. Welcome Hug2

Hoping everyone has a good night and better tomorrow.

Hello Ana!

Hello veterans, and thanks.
I joined the Navy in 1967 when Viet Nam was hot. Didn't want to kill anyone even though I knew I could so avoided the ground based services. Went in just because I felt a duty to my country. thought the navy would be like a coin toss as to whether I would see combat or not. My fate was in the hand of the gods.
Cme home a couple times in the late 60's and early 70's and felt the distain and hatred put out by many people, but I wasn't shamed.
Just felt my country neede my service, and I owed something to society and the USA. Also didn't want to feel like a shirker.
I'm sure there are different and multiple reasons why most vets signed up. Best wishes to all those vets and all the friends and families and loves who supported them.
