This is a freebie site that has everything!!!!! The cool thing about this site is that they show you pictures of the deal (kinda like yelp i guess), and you can search by location (you can save your time and find what you're looking for around your area), by categories or by keywords yummy

Bah... I'm antsy. Sadwalk

In a totally un-surly-panda-esque fashion, I kinda fell for a guy while I was in Chicago this weekend. He went back to London, I went back to DC, and I suppose that's that. Dontknow

Anyone know of something entertaining online that can distract me from such ridiculousness? I'm used to getting myself into absurd situations, but this is downright lame. laugh out loud

Well that explains why you weren't around this weekend ... Sly

I dunno, you could hit all the travel sites and start checking the price for flights to the UK ... or searching the current sweepstakes to see which ones have trips to London as part of the prize package.

Or come with me and we can soak our feet in the Red Sea about two and a half weeks from ... NOW. Well ok, at this hour it would mean having to deal with sitting and waiting for the sun to come up Stick Out Tongue

Haha... I spent a couple of hours checking out London flights earlier this evening. Pathetic. Embarrassment

I definitely want in on your next trip. You go to the most awesome places. laugh out loud

I was watching the Caps game to take my mind off of things, but they decided to suck a bunch so that didn't help at all. Frown

Well it's gonna be Morocco in the Spring and if Viking keeps doing 2 for 1 cruises it's likely I might swing back to Germany and see some folks I know and do the Elbe cruise. Um, but my sister is already planning on meeting me in either Berlin or Prague for that one IF it comes off and they discount that for one of the October cruises.

Awesome. I'm looking forward to my Ireland trip for nine days in June, and then Iceland for a week and a half in August. I wish I had more money... I saved up a ton of money for crazy vacations and frivolous expenditures, but then I blew it all on a condo down payment. Doh laugh out loud

Still, I've never been outside of the continental US or Canada, so it will be quite an experience. Smilie

No, but my brother-in-law used to work for NorthWest so she can fly for a pittance out of ATL.

As in, when I was stationed in Germany back in '93-'95 they flew over for $75 apiece and stayed for a week. Drove down thru Austria and did a day trip over to Nancy (Non-say) in France ... and I aged a couple years with my BIL driving thru the redlights in towns.

In Fance the lights tend to be on 6'-8' high poles with the directional lighting and he would just dive right thru. And all of the "AAAARG, that was a RED LIGHT!" gasps just got me accused of being a backseat driver.

But I've got friends I stay with in Germany. So ~IF~ it pans out then I'll do what I've down for some of the Christmas Market cruises, i.e. fly to Frankfurt, hop a train down to Karlsruhe stay couple days, repack down to 1 piece of luggage, hop a train to city A, cruise, hop a train back from city B, recover, do laundry, shop, drink lots of Hoppner keller weissen bier, et cetera. Wake up early, catch a train to Frankfurt and scoot back home.

Ohhh fancy! Grin

I found a $240 roundtrip flight between Toronto and Iceland in August, which is pretty much the only reason I decided that I should go. My brother's in upstate NY, so I'll meet him there and we can head to Toronto. It'll be interesting to see how things work out for Iceland, and how that might affect the other costs associated with travel. I can't tell if it's better to book things now for a pre-paid rate, or wait to see if the USD to ISK conversion gets more favorable. Though I think either way it's better to wait a bit until the SP savings account gets more favorable. laugh out loud

On that part I'll agree. I'm liking the package deals to some of these out of the way places ... let someone else do all the worrying and I can just kick back, relax and enjoy the view, and the food, and the shopping. "What, 200 lira! NO way, 50 max!"

I'm just very spoiled with dealing with river cruises ... you get there, unpack once and wake up in a new city every day. What fun.

On that NHL thing. That can be a bad thing. I was listening to the Wings via 97.1 on line. I was going to go to bed before it got tied up. Then, of course had to listen till the sad ending of losing in OT. OH well, they still got a point for it.

Enjoy.

There's also http://failblog.org/ to spend lots of time on, looking at all the crazy pictures.
