This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

thanks everyone for all the congrats Grouphug

It was a semisurprise - he was REALLY insistent on us going out to dinner tonight and he was frantic about finding new batteries for the camera before we left, so I figured it was coming Smilie But he waited until after dinner and we were at the car and he kneeled down on the very cold pavement and said really sweet things Smilie

Awwww...how cute! *sniff* heart

Wine tags are coupons that wine companies put around the neck of wine bottles. Not all states have them. Some require wine purchase, but some don't, and in some states, it is illegal to require wine purchase...so basically, you can use them all. Around the holidays, they usually have some great ones out. I was happy to find the 2.00 ones today, but I am hoping for better ones closer to Christmas!!
I'm thinking FL doesn't have these. I have NEVER found them, at least not without a large alcohol purchase Ermm

ummmm....I don't think I would spray Aquanet on a Wasp's nest laugh out loud, unless you are spraying it through an industial sized hose!

You can usually buy wine tags on ebay. Depending on how much they are worth, sometimes they can be pricey.

Hello! So many new TQs so few deals enticing me to shop. We have been doing a lot of family things and charity events lately. Dh bought 15,$1 umbrellas the Dollar Tree for the girls to had out to folks when it was raining. That was the most fun we have had in a long time! One lady asked our youngest dfosterd how much she owed her. She said , " Nothing but please pay it forward and do something nice for a stranger this week!". I was glad we bought that movie!
That is so nice....It is so important to teach kids to do these types of things for others. My DD grew her hair out and did the locks of love thing a few years back and it brought her so much joy to help another child.

My older dd did that as well. She did it when she was like 7 or 8, all her idea too. In fact, I had never cut her hair (only trims) so I didnt want to let her, but who says no to helping cancer kids, kwim. Anyways, when my mom got breast CA a few years later she said, see momma, maybe grandma got my hair Weeping Sweet girl!!! hug

I've done it both ways, try searching for higher dollar amts, 2.00, 5.00, etc. also, alot of wine tags are for produce, deli, bakery, seafood, beef, ham, turkey, etc...so you can do your search like that as well.

shucks!!! I'm in SC. The last good ones we had were 5.00 off Hormel, and I think it was 5.00 off Bertolli. Just ran out of free produce and juice tags. Those lasted all summer though, so that was good. We also had some for free rotisserie chicken that were great!

Look for beer rebates too - I found ones in September for Budweiser, no beer purchase required that gave me $15 back for deli purchases. Worked well with the $1 TQ that was out for meat/cheese deli purchases Smilie
