We had to wait in line for over an hour to vote.
Shopped a bit this evening then went out for drinks. I am such a lightweight, two top shelf margaritas just get to me! They take me over and make me want to dance. Didn't want to pay cover to go to a club, so came home and cranked up iTunes on the PC and danced with hub here....LOL! It was a riot. I told him we are practicing for Vegas in a few weeks. Taking our annual trip south to Vegas and back to hometown in SoCal. Heck, I'm more exiceted about trying a double coupon somewhere....LOL!
Haven't been on in a few days as when I was down in Wa. doing the doubles I got a phone call that I've been dreading getting.
Some of you already know via PM and thanks for all the support.
The bad news is that my SIL's leukemia is back and in full force against his body. In his bones, spine and lungs now. He's been telling the doctors for a couple of months about the terrible pain and the lump and they bascially ignored him... until my doctor got involved and got things going with the cancer clinic.
Anyway we have been given a time frame of 2 months for him now. One day we were told remission and then next this.
If any of you are praying people, would greatly appreciate it if you would pray for my daughter Janet, my SIL Dave and my granddaughter Laina (hence my screenname) she is only 8.
It's not a matter of if he will die now but a matter of when. I'm not sure what we are going to do without him. It is so hard to think about it and to think that my granddaughter won't have a daddy anymore, whom she absolutely adores.
Kinda puts all the bickering going on in all the threads about coupon use in perspective.. it's not life or death.. it's a frickin coupon.
Don't mean to tick anyone off, but it just kinda got to me, when there is so much else in the world going on that we should be worried about. If coupon use was all that all I had to worry about at the moment I'd take it in a New York minute.
I never did get to say thanks to all of you for the warm welcome home after being away for a month.. It was nice, so thank you.
I'm so glad that we all went to Disneyland now and that he did get to take her.
Okay I've got to get off now, crying too hard again.

Browsers should have icons on the desktop. Explorer looks like an "e" (the letter e) while firefox looks like a fox sort of jumping out of a blue circle-y thingie. Or, like sillygeese said, go to "All Programs" under the start menu and you should be able to find either one. Can also find the virus/firewall thing there and turn it off so you can print your Qs-- just don't forget to turn it back on later.
We had a little trauma here last night. . . couldn't find one of the cats (the grey guy in my avatar) and actually thought he might have gotten out. (Our cats are inside only.) It seemed impossible, but the house just isn't that big. So DH and I are wandering around the neighborhood with flashlights calling to him at 10:30 last night. . . I'm wracking my brain trying to remember any cabinet or door I might have opened that he might have slipped in to. . . when I suddenly remembered having left open (and then later shutting) one of my dresser drawers. I ran back home and out he popped.
I feel so guilty for shutting him in there. I really hope I never shut my baby in a drawer.
