Quick question about the Glade blinkies...sorry guys but I just found them for the first time today Yahoo! and want to make sure these are the ones you are talking about, they say save $2 on one glade scented oil candle holder or TWO refills? is this it? I sure hope so cause I took 28 of them! there were 2 machines next to each other Big Grin

Went shopping today at several stores. Had a decent shopping experience at WM. Although at the ST the parking lot was over half full. I went in and got 4 itmes. Then at the check out they only had 4 lanes open, 2 at each end, and no express lane. All 4 lanes open had 3-4 people waiting with fairly large purchases. So I just dropped my carry basket and walked out. Another lady behind me did the same thing. I wasn't standing in line for 10-15 mins for 4 items! There was no manager to be seen and I only saw 2 or 3 employees in the whole store!

That is true! We have some neighbors, though, that will still throw the race card. Every time we speak to them they think we're saying something about their race! Got in a fight with them once and DH said, "I'm done with you guys (because the parents and two kids are always out and start something with me or DH and or both of us)." The guy goes, "Hey, you can't say that. That's like you calling me 'boy.'" Okay...so when is "I'm done with you guys" or even "boy" racial terms? Yet they called my DH the Pillsbury Dough Boy and called us white trash!!!!! There is nothing to protect Caucasians but all kinds of laws against minorities. And we live in a very nice neighborhood....LOL! (Off my soap box!)

Sad those people are surely doing it for that reason & many will buy it.
I want it for my sons scrapbook. I never thought I would see this day happen & I have been teaching him about it.
At age 7, he learns about history (but in our schools they don't even mention MLK except to say tomorrow you have a school holiday, so he has no knowledge of anyone that looks like him outside of home teaching) & when it comes time to say what do you want to be when you are older he now has a wonderful inspiration. There is nothing wrong with that.
This morning he told us, someday I would like to work hard to be president like Barack Obama. bounce

when i was in 3rd grade, a guy in my class said he wanted to be president someday..our teacher laughed (quietly) & said... come on..that's a bit much, how about something else.
Well that guy went on to be a high powered attorney & is very successful. He is not into politics but that was an interesting statement & he to this day still remembers it & tells about it all the time.
