This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Hey ladies - I work full-time, have 3 kids, commute 1 hour each way to work (EEK! ), have kid sports going on, I am a single parent for this week (only - thankfully) - so I am waaaaay too busy to read the deals thread, that is for the little people. I need someone to send me a list of everything I should buy at Target tomorrow, best deals only please, please list each coupon I should use, where is came from - be specific, etc. A nice Excel spreadsheet would be handy.

THANK YOU Stick Out Tongue
Wait don't you want someone to bundle the q's in an envie with the excell with witch locations are guaranteed to have enough in stock and mail it to you express overnight?

Got my HP printer ink (MUST find a cheaper-to-use printer over the next month or so!) with gift cards, snip

Let me know if you find an economical printer. I have an Hp and buying ink cartriges is a PITA! I HATE buying them. I have to buy a refill atleast once a month with the amount of coupons i print. Anyone have suggestions?
If you don't use your printer for printing out pictures, they sell refill kits that have a syringe that you can use to refill the ink cartridges (I think I bought ours at Sams club over a year ago - maybe $30 and I still have enough ink that it should last another year? You have to break the seal on the ink cartridge and then use the syringe to squirt the ink onto the sponge thing inside). You can refill the ink cartridges several times, and then you will have to eventually get a new cartridge. DO NOT USE REFILL KITS IF YOU ARE USING YOUR PRINTER FOR PICTURES. HP, Cannon, etc actually patent their inks, so if you use a generic refill kit, your pictures will turn out looking off. I have not seen it in a while, but WAGS does ink refills as well for a decent price (maybe $12 for color ink cartridges - I really haven't check into this - someone may know more than I). I have 1 printer for pictures and 1 set up for coupons. HTH

Just to change the subject(s): I tried making some instant pudding using the Silk soy milk. Turned out to be very, very runny. The recipe on the box said to combine the package with 2 cups of very cold milk and mix for 2 minutes. I did all that correctly. I mean, I can make pudding - I'm not a complete fool - just a partial one. Did I do something wrong by trying to use the Silk? Anyone else used for pudding and had success?
I could be wrong but I think it has to do with the fat molecules in milk, either that or the milk protein, it bonds with something in the pudding, that is what makes it pudding, using the silk or rice or almond "milks" don't have the necassary bonding molecule. Kinda like tring to use flavored water to make pudding.

I've done refills at WAGS before and would recommend it - they're BOGOF this week. I've also found coupons in store for $3 off it... Black is regularly $10, color is $15. Unfortunately the ink model for my current printer is not on their list of cartridge models they refill. [walgreens.com]

I did manage to get my black refilled for my Dell on a Bogo, but my color would work for some reason, think it was out of the machine for to long, need to try again with a 1/2 off q and the cartrige in the printer right now. $10 for 2 saved me $70 bucks!

I could be wrong, but I don't think it can. I tried to use it on a comb that the little ad thing was taped too and it wouldn't work. The woman told me it was bc I was using MQ as well though. IDK I have stayed away from Wags since they are getting b!tchy about Q's here.

Today I confused the hell out of a cashier.. she saw the Greeting card coupon and flipped out paged someone for help.. got my free 50 cent card woot But then confused the hell out of them on the HP 3.00 paper, plus the 1.00 peelie on the package.. Then a Tylenol sample that was 97 cents and a 1.00 of "anysize" coupon.. Then a lysol dohicky that was 11.99 marked down to 5.99 with a 4.00 off coupon (posted deal in Other thread) at this point... the manager was getting annoyed... My roomie then did the identical transaction in the next lane minus the greeting cards.. I did not feel all that welcome anymore...

I later figured out why she is so grumpy.. when we were leaving, there was a semi pulling out heading toward the freeway... On the Back it said..

I wonder if people would be willing to donate their Obama signs??? Hmmm -
*SNIP*

Maybe it is because of where I live - but here there is a Black History month and when there is a special focus on African Americans - there is also a huge emphasis on different cultures, ethnicities, and religions throughout the year in history, social studies, english etc. My kiddos have cinqo de mayo celebrations, learn about kwanza, hannakah, ramadan, and learn about buddism, islam, etc. In fact, here it is non-pc to be a straight white of anglo-saxon descent. Again it may be the region --- I just want ALL kiddos to feel as if they are equally important, special, and deserving of all the good in the world!!!!

*SNIP*
nod
Black History Month is recognized just as Hispanic Heritage month, etc are as well in most places but most of the time things are only done in those communities.
I think it is great to learn about all cultures which is what we are doing with our kids. I have friends of all races actually more in others than in my own...always have. The world is so diverse that you honestly are in for a culture shock if you don't allow the mix and mingling. We are all so different yet alike in more ways than many people are willing to ever admit.
Iagree all kids should feel that way & I so wish that ALL kids were learning about cultural differences. There are some that I would like to know more about as well.

wave You do know that in using the 3.00 q AND the 1.00 q on the paper, you are using 2 mfg q's on one product, right? Plus, Target doesn't carry the paper on the q, which is why the CIC has it listed on their site...could be thats why you didn't get a warm fuzzy...
