This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I found a tearpad yesterday that could help out our Moms that are collecting Box tops for education. You attach 5 'special' box tops, and they give you credit for 15. Catch is the 'special' box tops are marked with a CH01-CH08 in the upper left corner. This would probably work well for the coordinator, as they could go through them and pick out the 'special' ones. Anyway, first PM gets 'em all.[/B]

Goodness - miss a few days on the chat thread and it takes 2 days to catch up! Smilie

Ok, so what is everyone going to use for bags or baskets for all these "gifts" we have for teachers, etc? I need some ideas.

So far I have written down to include this in them....

Glade &/or Febreeze
Starbucks choc
Hershey's Bliss
Planters nuts

What else am I missing?! TIA
Dunkin Donuts coffee! Smilie

I'm sorry that happened. I have answered dozens of PMs from people, mostly newbies (I mean, N.E.W.B. as it was their first post/PM!) about various deals. I may have been short in some of them, like just the facts ma'am ,because I was in a hurry but I hope I was never perceived as rude. I never want to answer another Swiffer PM in my life though Blink LMAO
Quote from Devilmomma :
Seriously, WTF???? mamaoftwins got the book in the mail and it wasn't in hers!

I was going to buy it the other day but they only had 1 mix so I decided to wait. Now I NEED this coupon! I mean really, how can I pay $5 for the EBO when I know I can get it for free!!!

No, this is not common practice among most of us. I will gladly answer your pm. I don't think I've never not answered a pm. I might not have given all the secrets out to someone with a couple posts, but I always answer pm's.

This one just has me baffled laugh out loud I can easily cover the $5 with overage, but it's the principle, kwim?
What do you do when someone PMs you, saying they're still new but have questions about a particular exprd toy TQ, and yet they have been members since 2007? Zero posts. Zero reps. I'm just not comfortable handing out info to people who have been members for a while and yet haven't made even one contribution, but are asking about using coupons such as this one. shake head

For those who have racked up over $200 or more in Glade gift cards - what are you doing with all the Glade? I've put mine in a tub with drawers, just so I don't have to see it/smell it, but I need to get it out of the house as yard sale season is pretty much over. I know I'll use up some, give some as gifts, and the rest, I guess I'm going to try to sell on craigslist. Someone screwed with my eBay account, so can't list on there currently. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has had luck selling it. Seems to be going for decent money on eBay, esp. considering I've put very little into it! Big Grin

I bought some of the minature tubs 2 years ago to give out for Halloween and just found them - they were still good so you've got at least 2 years. HTH!

I'm trading some of it on other threads for stuff I could actually use. Giving some of it away. Donating some. Saving some for tag sales. I'm not ebaying it, I hate their fees on small items.

I don't play with playdoh, but my kids got me Moon Sand for Christmas last year! They think everybody needs to get at least 1 toy every year!

We use it for restaurants. I throw a few cans in my purse when we are going out and if DS is restless I let him play with it at the table. That way the mess isn't at my house. After a few uses, when it gets all mixed up and a little gross, I just throw it away. We could eat out every night for the rest of our lives and I probably still wouldn't get through my Kmart stash of Playdoh.

I never let my DS play w/ it at home, but since DD came along i have eased up on the mess issue Smilie so they play w/ it . Not all the time but when we have a cold snap or rainy week, it is wonderful.

Thanks everyone for the responses! DS is almost 1.5, so still have a few years before I'll attempt Playdoh. If nothing else, we'll save it for grandma's house! LOL!

Have you ever thought that other SDers in your area aren't interested in having a shopping buddy? Many SDers are territorial with their stores. There are four of us in my town, and we talk, and share deals..let each other know what's going on, look out for peelies for each other, but we have never shopped together.
Lol @ shopping buddy.....I figured that out a while back!
I guess what I was hoping for, was others to Share with locally, on what was was being found. I know it takes a while to find others, that are willing to work together.

Thank you for your input....*smile*
In time, I will find others.....so please be patient with me, as I am on a quest *wink*

Any ppl that watch mythbusters, my hubby will be on the episode tonight Smilie
I do not get this station, but I looked up making these Balls! This is really an Awesome Art.....I passed the link to my dad...I can see us playing with Poo in the near future......LOL

Quote from Devilmomma :
hug You are always welcome my dear!

All I can say to new peeps, is to just keep reading, reading, and reading. You will eventually pick up the little secrets. Post a deal, a peelie or q find and contribute what you can. It's the people that come in, see a deal, and start asking a million questions without doing any reading that piss us off. And if all else fails, join us in chat! It's more fun here anyway!
YOU are one the SD'ers that ROCKS!!!
I totally messed up by taking a break from couponing for 3 months, and its a lot of work to CATCH UP!!...so, I am frustrated......Maybe by end of the year , I will be up to speed again......lol

Thanks everyone that takes the time to share/post deals.. Clap
Cheers!!
