When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! My DS turned 2 in August and we haven't started yet. He is getting a potty for Christmas so we'll probably start after the 1st of the year. I think 14 months is too early, but that's just me. He's in a 2 mornings a week program now with all 2 year olds and I would say 80% aren't potty trained yet.
Yes, that's what I thought!! I was reading 2 yrs old when researching on the internet and sometimes not even then. Thanks for sharing!! Smilie

Now I am just lost again. All i can picture is vanilla ice. I was like very very young when he came out. I had the biggest crush on him. WTF was wrong with me?

That sounds like a great idea! Im not sure DD is ready for this (she will be 5?) but I am hoping it does not involve a hundred mom's all the time. I will just pull my hair out!

2 years. They will tell you when they are ready, not necessairly by words but by actions. Forcing a kid to potty train is actually the worse you can do for them. It really can lead to all kinds of problems mentally and physically. Oh and some kids never want to do Number 2 on the toilet. DD took it all in stride and was finished in about 2 days. So simple!
Nono You don't want to see the picture!! Nono

Thanks for sharing the potty "age". I had thought it was around then, but the two grandmothers swear it is better to start at age 1! EEK! They think I am being "lazy" in not teaching my DD now. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) DD does indicate when she wants her diaper changed, but I think there is more that she will need to tell me before she is ready to start "training". I definitely will not be "forcing" her to do it! shake head

You're going to hear that alot from the older generation. grandparents on both sides were shaking their heads at us for not starting until 2! They all had their kids potty trained by 1 apparently Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) My grandmother said it was because they used cloth diapers back then and kids didn't have the comfort of disposable diapers, so they halfway trained themselves earlier as well. IDK! laugh out loudlook around

Ok, experienced gamer Moms! I need help! Trying to decide between Guitar Hero Band Edition and the comparable Rock Band edition for our Wii. This will probably be THE x-mas gift from you-know-who. I have 2 boys, 5 and 7. They are extremely addicted to all things Wii, and I'm sure they'll pick the game parts of either up quickly. Other than the play lists, what are the big differentiating points? I haven't seen either one played on the wii (just the playstation play area at BestBuy).
TIA!
I say Rock Band!!! I don't know everything about them but I do know Guitar Hero is just guitars and Rock Band also has singing and drums so with Rock Band, more people can play (I didn't think I would want to play, but I became addicted to playing the drums on this thing - lol). Downside to Rock Band is the drums are a bit bulky and even though we haven't played for a while, there they sit in our living room. Not easy to put out of the way, whereas the guitars are a little easier to find a convenient place to store when not in use.

Guitar Hero comes with just one guitar unless you get the more expensive one that comes with more than one guitar, Rock Band comes with microphone, drums and one guitar so with Guitar Hero they would have to take turns (unless you have more than one guitar).

I asked my dh for his opinion and he says Rock Band too. If you have any questions (or want to borrow them from us to try them out) let me know!! Smilie

Please please let there be a diaper deal. And please let it be something else besides Pampers! I hate them! But of course will use them if they're freeSmilie

I'm running out from the last deal. I wish I had more than one store to hit and more time to hit that one store but I probably only get to T once a week. I want the circuit like some of you ladies have!

I was hoping DS would be ready for potty training before the next one comes in April but I think I might actually have to BUY diapers before then! Then, I'll have 2 in diapersRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Come on Diaper deal!

I never let my DS play w/ it at home, but since DD came along i have eased up on the mess issue Smilie so they play w/ it . Not all the time but when we have a cold snap or rainy week, it is wonderful.
Summertime for the play doh! I put the dough, accessories, cookie cutters, plastic knifes, and a medley of old kitchen stuff out on the picnic table.

Incidently, I made the mistake ONCE of allowing moon sand anywhere near my property. shake head Never again. I'm just not that good of a Mom. laugh out loud

Oh and thanks for the tips on Kitchens - I am having such a hard time deciding .... do you think it would be cheaper after Christmas? Any of them? Does Step 2 ever clearance stuff? Thx!!!!
End of January is the best time to buy the left over Christmas toys. Walmart always has aisles of toy clearance where I live.
