the gc deal runs until sometime early dec. (i think), so I would hope the price will remain the same until then, or 'while supplies last'

LOL stormy is crazy with toys.

I'm fabulous....waiting for dh to wake up so i can go shopping.

It's leap frog and it looks really cool. they take a little pen thingy and point at the books and it reads to them in characters and everything.

just get both now and sell one later. easier to decide.

the tag is for older kids I think 4+. the other 2 are 3+

I wouldn't get the tag now for our little ones (under 2). they'll have a better system out by then

My friend bought her 3yo DD the leapfrog computer a couple years ago. She hasn't touched it since the first few weeks.

I picked up the FP cool school computer. Big downfall of it is that you need extra discs to do more stuff with it. I'm hoping the discs will go on clearance at Target in Jan. I have high hopes for that since it is a toy book item. This one works on writing skills, too. DD is getting this and the FP plug in computer system from last year's clearance.

I'm a bit toy crazy too... Whee

The Tag system looks like a combo of the Storytime reading + Leapfrog Leappad system combined. The kids point to words, and the words are read in the voice of those characters (like spongebob, dora, etc). Or they can push a button to have the whole page read at once. Personally, I think Leappads are better because they offered more books, it's not all character based (my kids love the Orchestra book), and there are several games on each page. My 3yo just started using it and she's doing the PreK-1st grade books. There are simple questions like find the letters/numbers/shapes and also order questions (what comes next in this pattern). We have the My First Leappad but she really likes this better becasue she likes picking up the pen and doing this herself. She JUST started getting into this.

We also have the Leapster system, DS, Vsmile (not the pocket, the plug in one). A lot of these we've had for years as my son is now 7yo. My 3yo loves the DS (she took DH's) but she' really can't do too much and it's not educational for her, obviously. She likes the Leapster a bit but I think age 3.5-4 is better for that one. We have the LMax version and it is a bit bulky. I'd definately recommend getting the plug in charger for it. Worth the money for that!

At 2.5 I'd go for all the magnetic fridge sets, all the Leapfrog movies (worth the money for those, too!) for Christmas gifts. I'd pick up the cool school thing for her 3rd birthday but I wouldn't give it at Christmas. And I'd pick it up the last day of the toy sale, so if it happens to go on clearance in Jan your receipt may still stretch long enough out to return it. I'm noticing my Target return times on the receipts are getting longer now with the holidays...yay!!

Goodness - what a weekend! Fell on Friday night at Chick-Fil-A (yes, I'm 8.5 months pregnant and I FELL - how stoopid is that?!?). Only twisted my ankle real good. Now its much better and I can get back to shopping, but I feel like I missed a lot!

Question for y'alls - the $3/3 J&J coupon - does it work best at Kmart? I have a whole stack to use up, and don't know the best store to use them at. Used them at Target, but they beep, and are more of a hassle. But if I can use them at Kmart, with NO hassle, that'd be awesome! Big Grin You can PM if you want. Thanks!

Going out this evening with hubby - seems like all the baby car seats we want are only available online, not instore! How inconvenient is that?!? So we're going to make a circuit tonight, see if we can't find one we like. I am trying to get as much mileage out of this Glade deal as I possibly can! Since my due date is Dec. 11, I feel like I might miss at least a week's worth of the deal, so gotta get it now while the gettin's good! Big Grin

Going to try my luck with the EBO - anyone had any luck re-selling these? I've always done rather well on craigslist with toys that I've "overbought" for my own 2, so I'm assuming these will do pretty well, also. Seem to do all right on eBay, that's for sure!

Well, gotta go clip some coupons! Have fun shopping, everyone! drool
