I have a different return question...if I bought something and used two GCs, how does that work with an exchange with GC lookup? I mean, I used up the one GC completely and they threw it away obviously, but I still have the one GC. Can they look it up via that one even though the item total was more than the amount that got deducted from the GC? Just need a different size... Hope that all made sense!

I just posted this in the deals thread and was thinking, "I FINALLY have something to post!!! I can't believe no one has mentioned this yet!!!!!"
I should have known you peeps over in chat would know this already. You're faaaaaasstt.
I have a lot of free tape coming my way.
Some stores will allow you to make a return WITHOUT an ID if the amount is less than $50 but most do the 2 return policy. That being said - - - I will ASSURE you that there are employees out there who take great personal umbrage when a customer DARES to make a return let alone a return without a receipt (UNTHINKABLE!!!) I ran in to this and asked to speak to the store manager ---- and assistant manager came out and told me no return more that $50 without a receipt (what you were told) I informed him that I KNEW that was not correct! He argued with me for a bit and then I took his name, the name of the store manager, the store's number, the name of the regional manager & that manager's number and told him I would be letting them all know about the "fine" job he was doing violating corp policy. I called the regional manager & the 1-800 number and told them what happened - received apologies & confirmation I was correct about the return policy - I promptly received a call from the store manager who told me would straighten this chap out & to make my return when I wished. I went in - had no trouble - made the return.
You do have to be willing to take the price they have in their system - but you can return it! Good Luck!!!!!
