I read the back of the box and they said each candle is suppose to last 2-3 hours. I called them and told them they only lasted 10-20 min for me (true, and I love them!). They sent me a free coupon for EACH defective box I had. I only told them about two, but I could have told them about the other 15 I have... (I mostly buy jar candles, no coupons in the refills near me)
I lucked out at WM. They had a special area for boxed games, in the middle of an aisle. All those games no peelies. Left me thinking where is all the other box games?
I found the different area with all the other missing games and BINGO! Peelies were on those.
You know, I had to take each box off the shelf and visionally inspect each box. Turn them over and look at all that were on the shelf. I finished that and behind was items made by Playschool.
So I informed him of the sign (and the Target lady who had originally pointed out the sale to me while I was shopping.. very nice of her, I hadn't noticed the extra 30% sign until she pointed it out to me).
So, he's trying to figure out how to take the extra 30% -- he didn't even verify that an extra 30% was going on.. he had no clue it was and took my word for it. So, he is pushing buttons trying to figure out how to take the extra % off.. the first one that comes up is a dollar amount for him to enter.
He starts asking me what 30% off of the different clothing items.. And I am trying to do crazy math in my head - (since they are clearanced they are in weird dollars and cents combos, like $12.97 or whatever).. anyway, he says "maybe I should call someone over".. he didn't seem to want to do that at all.. lol.. so he kept pushing buttons. Finally I realized that under the extra $ off manual entry.. there was something that said "percentage off".. something like that.. and I told him that's probably how you do it. Sure enough, it seemed to work.. (I need to look at my receipt again)..
Anyway, I have had so many experiences where employees quickly get a manager to their side to figure things out..They cling on to them like a life saver or something..
This dude totally did NOT want to do that. And I could have said an extra 90% off and he probably would have entered it. (not that I would ever do that.. just sayin' he didn't seem to care).
