A price in the OP would be great. All stores near me show $128. Nothing to see here so far.

For reference, I am in zip 80537. 4 stores show markdown and 2 have stock. I also physically saw the item in one location with the proper markdown. Hopefully this becomes more widely available soon!

How does this compare to the 40v Greenworks?

Some available near me for $64. Solid reviews on different sites. Have several other B&D 20V MAX tools and am pleased with them all. I'm tempted, even though I already have a couple chain saws.

There is a 40v version of the B&D that would be a better comparison. This 20v version is going to be less powerful and requires manual oiling (by pressing a bulb) before each cut. The 40v version has auto-oiling.

Well I just got the 60v snapper which is similar to the greenworks. Much heavier, bigger, more powerful. Also auto oiler rather then pushing the button over and over. But, the b&d is much more portable and lightweight. Really two different tools for different situations.

I was honestly surprised by how much wood I can cut with this little guy. For me, it's main use is cutting up firewood on camping trips. its just small enough to throw in a craftsman tool bag along with some batteries, hatchet and saw. It does cut a little slow compared to full size but gets the job done.

Was the snapper a SD? I searched and didn't see anything.

There is a post from may that lists all the snapper items. Currently it is $120 on clearance at some walmarts. I got it to go with the 60v mower for $199.

FWIW this is an awesome little chainsaw. I have cleared two fallen trees in my back yard using it. It will definitely cut a log of 10" and do it way better than I ever thought possible. Keep in mind though that this will just eat through your battery charge and you should be prepared with extra batteries or extra time.

yeah, 10" is pushing it but as you said it will do the job. 6-8" logs are no problem and it will do quite a few of them on one charge. Just be gentle and back off if it starts to struggle.

I got this chainsaw with an Amazon deal. It does do very well as other have stated. Just wanted to add that when I first started using mine, the manual oil did not work. It seems like this is a relatively common issue where the filter mechanism gets clogged with whatever oil they used in the assembly. Instead of sending it in, it was pretty easy to take apart and blow out the oil in the filter. I used some hot water to soak it. Then I used a can of air to blow out the sticky oil.

Here's a reference about this issue

So if this is sitting for awhile in my garage I should expect the same to happen?
