Someone from Google headquarters just bought my nexus 6p, a 2 yr old google phone off ebay. seems a little weird?

I just upgraded to an S8 plus from my nexus 6p. My 6p had a crack in it so I used my nexus protect to get a new manufacturer refurbished version for $69....I sold that untouched refurb on ebay and the guy that just won the auction today is apparently from google...

Googling his name pulls up a lot of google patents he has registered, and his email is from @gsb.columbia.edu which appears to be a legit Ivy league business school.

he only has 2 feedback which is from over a year ago on ebay...his paypal address and everything all check out...but it still seems a little weird this is his first purchase in a long time. his paypal address matches up and is verified.

the shipping address is 1600 amphitheatre parkway mountainview california, with what i presume is his name and his google ID underneath it...

the whole thing just seems strange to me, I would have assumed someone with multiple patents at google would have a better phone than a 2 year old refurb...

anything I should check before I ship? what do you guys think?

Maybe there's a specific reason he wanted that exact model. Spare parts? Hack? Who knows?

It was a rare prototype that contained extremely sensitive corporate secrets that got sent to you by mistake. They were prepared to offer a huge amount of money to get it back untouched but managed to save a bundle of cash when it showed up on ebay.

It's probably an account that he uses only for things like this. I'd include a note that says something along the lines of "I see you are from google and are bringing the phone home. Are you doing anything cool with it? I'd love to hear the details."

If he has patents on some of the technologies, maybe he wants a copy for sentimental/hacking purposes? I can't imagine Google keeps models that old around in the warehouse, so eBay would probably be the easiest/cheapest place to get one.

Why ask when you can speculate with complete strangers on slickdeals?

Google is secretly stalking you. Then plan on doing a data recovery so they can see all of the naked pics you have been sending out.
