This is a great price for a base model 15" MBP. If only Best Buy had in-stock, then you could price match, use 10% off and student EDU coupon.

Yup - but you still pay taxes. B&H is a great shop to buy from.
And BB doesn't usually stock high-end models like these.

Cool story man. But the last time I bought a laptop was in 2009, and that MacBook Pro is still going strong. We all know you can go and buy a computer with twice the 'stats' on paper, but that doesn't mean it's a good buy. My buddy's top of the line XPS is a steaming pile of garbage with screen flickering and random powering off. I can't speak for the new gen MacBook Pro's, but when the naysayers complained about the price almost a decade ago, I'm glad I didn't listen, because per year I came out WAY on top.

I think that Best Buy has the 13" model that is on sale here, which I'm thinking about picking up.

What is the 10% off? Is it the mover's coupon? I thought they got rid of those.
I am aware of the student EDU coupon which I signed up for.
