What will you be doing for the total eclipse on Monday August 21, 2017?

If you see this after Monday, you can still answer what you did that day.

PSA...

Just watch it on TV.

It can take up to a year to notice the damage to your eyes if you do something stupid and permanently damage your eyes trying to watch it.
Also Amazon is recalling a lot of their Eclipse safety glasses ....
because they are fakes.

Welcome to civilized society.

Seeing as how I don't have anywhere I have to be on Monday and it's gonna be 87* and humid here I plan on camping inside in the AC and watching the eclipse on TV.

But if it wasn't gonna be so ungodly hot out tomorrow and I felt like making an ass out of myself in public(more so than usual) then I would be out and about and likely do the second to last option from the poll options for shits and giggles.

Although maybe I will FINALLY get this slim PS3 on it's way to Amazon's trade program as of tomorrow since that's the 'deadline' to ship it out by. So maybe I WILL have to go out in the heat for at least a bit tomorrow.

I was around the the 1970 East Coast one was not really that big of a deal to tell the truth.
I have a training class I need to take online, and Monday is the last time it is offered at 11AM Denver time.
Eclipse peak is 11:45.

Watch it on TV

We're decided not to go to Oregon (live near Seattle) as traffic to the total eclipse areas in Oregon were already causing havoc last week on the roads going into the best viewing areas. Add to that they have several ongoing wildfires throwing up smoke, in or near the area of totality and had to evacuate 400 homes on Thursday in the best peak area. I'll watch it from home which is the 98% area, DH will watch from work as he has a meeting before the eclipse.

Oregon farmers/ranchers in the peak areas listed their land on Air B&B and other sites to rent out spots in their fields so people could camp and watch the eclipse on their land. Some people even rented campers to drive down for the event!

I heard some farmers even planted grass in their fields instead of other crops to rent them out as campsites. laugh out loud

I'll go look at the partial eclipse from work, but primarily I'll be attempting to stream it on my work computer, plus recording Nova on PBS that night nod
