This is indeed a nice deal. the lens alone is worth around 250-275. Its about the best superzoom lens optically you can get. for a 7x zoom it is quite good.
the 70D is a wonderful all around camera. the dual pixel AF together with touch screen and fully articulating screen makes shooting videos and blogs a joy. Its has a pretty decent AF and good FPS. its not stellar at anything. It does not have 4K, it does not have the greatest DR at base ISO, it does not have super fast FPS or top notch 3d AF tracking, but it just a joy to use, and a great all around cameras, and a bargain at this price.

I just found the canon 70d with the 18-55 at target for 404.98 Hard to find it's a extreme YMMV

it limited stock but showing 0, but i found it in the nintendo Wii lock up area.

i was watching it drop in price. it was 994, then 675 then 404... i had to jump on it at 404.98
