The Aspire certainly has more features but it's apples to oranges. The Swift is meant as a light notebook, the Aspire is more of a workstation.

Bummer that it is not touchscreen. I am not a fan of Acer but otherwise this is pretty solid spec wise!

Looks great. I'm hoping to find something like this form factor but with dedicated GPU and maybe an i7 and willing to spend $2-300 more.

Got this for the same price back in March. Great built quality and pretty snappy. Very happy with the purchase so far.

You'd think the price would be lower almost 6 months later. Or they'd have a newer model for the same price you paid.

this Acer Swift 3 notebook is definitely not swift at all; at least compared to acer's own Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 which has:

Superior screen sized at 15.6" as opposed to only 14"

The Cpu processor goes up to 3.1Ghz max as opposed to only 2.5Ghz max

Has NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2GB of GDDR5 Video Memory as opposed to only the dreadfully slow and horrible performing substandard Intel® HD 620 Integrated Graphics

Has an 8X DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer Drive as opposed to no optical drive at all on the acer swift 3

Has Bluetooth 4.1 as opposed to only Bluetooth 4.0 on the acer swift 3

Has full RJ-45 high speed Gigabit 10/100/1000Mhz Ethernet Port as opposed to no Ethernet port whatsoever on the acer swift 3

Has a 6-cell Li-ion Battery (2800 mAh), Up to 12-hours Battery Life as opposed to a four cell Li-ion Batter with up to only 10 hours battery life

now with the above listed seven serious deficiencies I would have to pass up this Acer swift as a clearly substandard notebook computer unfortunately even though it looks quite nice; functionality trumps form factor when it comes to computer performance affecting computer functionality over the long term use; the below listed deficiencies are definitely the most unforgiveable; would you pay an extra $80 to get all the below added functionality features; most definitely yes in a heartbeat(video screen/video performance, optical drive, Gigabit Ethernet port, 6 cell li-ion battery with 12 hour run times!!
