I have a Banana Republic VISA credit card and got an email about this. The fine print says Gap Inc. cards, so I think Gap and Old Navy VISA credit cards should also be valid. Store cards are not.

Yes, store only cards have no visa logos.
just like JCPenney has regular and Master Card ones.

Store cards are credit cards. You just can't use them outside the store, hence store credit use only. Visa credit cards are used outside the store.
