I got this tv in 2 different Walmarts even though it was on brickseek for $449. I helped friends get them for $299. Just have to have them print a scan ticket and it will generate a $299 sticker.
LOL what with all the thumb down? the guy found a deal so he let us know. It is YMMV just like any other clearance deal... anyway, thanks OP
I would guess the problem is that there is YMMV and there is 4% in stock YMMV. If only 0.2 stores has it out of every 5 (lets say thats the feasible amount of driving someone would do) and even that is likely overstated by 10x given the inaccuracy of brickseek, you aren't going to get any love. I'm sure every item on clearance goes down to a ridiculously low price well after the stores have sold out. No longer YMMV, its more of a unicorn.

This doesn't make sense... the store price is based off the UPC, not a sticker on the box. If this were true, no one would have to make a sticker, it would just ring up the clearance price.

The answer I got from the manager. " Corporate sent the update but our system did not update"
In the beginning when I reached the KY walmart, they would only sell it to me for $449(thats what it rung up as) eventhough I showed the receipt of my friend getting it for $299 in another store. I almost walked out after driving 45 minutes to that Walmart. At which point, she went into the back and had to update something. I am sure she did not do a "manual override" to $299.
Maybe I am not explaining correctly but we were able to buy a total of 5. 3 in Cincinnati, 1 in Kentucky and one in Albany, NY.
These were the 55 inch ones
So, just want to let you know that its still worth trying.
I am on slickdeals for a long time now(12 yrs I guess). Just haven't had a need to post a comment

Great deal IF you can get it at this price.
Tried the R/R method last year with a 60" Sony and it worked twice. But failed at one store. Told me to do it at the store I bought it in.

Anyone tried this method before? Does it work? I guess worst case scenario you can just return it immediately in store.
Personally I can't find a zip code that even has these at the sales price.
