8-year manufacturer warranty kills it. I usually like to return stuff to Costco after 7 years of use.

Can't go wrong with a Blendtec. I have a different model and has had over 1000 use cycles. Great warranty. If needed in first few months they give you a new unit. For the next 8 years they give you a refurb, warranty continues but does not reset to 8 more years.

Yep, or you always have the alternative of just returning it to Costco at any time as well, which is why we love Costco.

These were $199.99 at the warehouse in mission valley (San Diego, CA) when I was there last Saturday (9/16/17). Tag said regular price $229.99, $30 instant savings goos through 10/15

Bought the Blendtec at $229. Thoughts after a few weeks: Does a great job of liquifying fruits and veggies. Can be annoying to use if you don't layer everything in a certain way. It's easy to create an air gap that requires you to shut off the blender, scrap/push down contents and blend again. A plunger (like Vitamix's) would prevent this stop/start activity. There are also some goods (e.g. nut butters) that don't blend well with the Wildside+. Blendtec sells a special jar for those for $129. Seems like a ripoff to need to buy that.
