Anyone that has ever gone camping has probably played this. Its called Queen Anns Riddle and you start the game by simply saying something like this:
Does any one here know Queen Anns Riddle?
There is only 1 rule:
1) Do NOT ever explain the answer to the riddle; the riddle is only answered by successfully giving examples.Lets begin Its cool but not cold
Then the others that already know how it works give examples, someone might shout out its tree but not plant. You nod correct
Someone that does NOT KNOW the riddle might take a guess its black but not white and anyone that knows the riddle answers WRONG!
Then the next might say its poop but not sh*t (correct) . And so the game goes. Sometimes we go around the campfire in a circle, each one taking turns with a guess (right or wrong) other times people just blurt out guesses, either way works, but the first one forces more involvement. This game truly annoys those that dont figure it out, they become particularly annoyed when the GUESS one right then get the next one wrong.
Some examples are more misleading then others, some can be quite funny. This game will NOT work nearly as well here as it does verbally for reasons that will be obvious once you figure out the riddle but Ill try it anyway just to find a few more really good examples you guys are pretty clever. And so we begin
Its sloppy but not dirty

Ignore the meal, something to cook.
In your sleep, but not your bed.
Not in one's eyes, but within your look.
Apperception, not in your head.
Not the bishop, but the rook.
It is missing, but is not lost
not what you left, but something you took.
it is appraised, nought cost.

Any hints?!
It's a discussion but not a chat.

now do it again to see if you really have it.
(i still don't have a clue)
it's subconsciousness, but not a dream.

It is smooth, but does not glide.
It is found difficult, but does not hide.
It is narrow, not wide.
It is courageousness, not a drop of pride.
This is all correct, I have not lied.

It's shaddup but not shush.
We disagree but don't argue

it's speedy, but not fast
it's hurried, but not quick
