Queen Ann's Riddle

Anyone that has ever gone camping has probably played this. It's called Queen Ann's Riddle and you start the game by simply saying something like this:
Does any one here know "Queen Ann's Riddle"?
There is only 1 rule:
1) Do NOT ever explain the answer to the riddle; the riddle is only answered by successfully giving examples.Let's begin … It's cool but not cold
Then the others that already know how it works give examples, someone might shout out "it's tree but not plant". You nod correct
Someone that does NOT KNOW the riddle might take a guess "it's black but not white" – and anyone that knows the riddle answers "WRONG!"
Then the next might say "its poop but not sh*t" (correct) …. And so the game goes. Sometimes we go around the campfire in a circle, each one taking turns with a guess (right or wrong) other times people just blurt out guesses, either way works, but the first one forces more involvement. This game truly annoys those that don't figure it out, they become particularly annoyed when the GUESS one right then get the next one wrong.
Some examples are more misleading then others, some can be quite funny. This game will NOT work nearly as well here as it does verbally for reasons that will be obvious once you figure out the riddle – but I'll try it anyway just to find a few more really good examples – you guys are pretty clever. And so we begin …
It's sloppy but not dirty
