It's that time of year again and the Fall travel deals are getting sent out! Here are some of the top ones I pulled from my inbox but would love to see what others are getting. Post in the wiki and i'll edit the post bounce

(PLEASE check the discounts work BEFORE adding to wiki)

Car Rentals:

Avis:

Avis is offering up to 25% off AND a free car class upgrade up to premium class. This is one of those times where they are letting you use both codes together which is rare for Avis (Usually it's just in the beginning of the quarter).

http://Avis.com

Avis AWD: S951601 (Up to 25%)
+
Coupon Code: UUGA037 (Free Car Upgrade up to premium)

Hertz:

Hertz is offering some decent Fall discounts including some weekend rental deals that have been off the site for a while. Seems like the value brands are moving towards only giving big discounts on weekday or long term rentals.

http://hertz.com

Hertz CDP: 1994775 (Up to 25% off)
+

Additional 10% Off Weekend Rentals
PC# 104661
Weekend Rentals
Most Car Classes
Expires 12/31/2017

$5 Off/day, up to $30 Off Weekly Rentals
Weekly Car Rentals
Intermediate and larger
PC# 203857
Expires 10/31/2017

$5 Off/day, up to $15 Off Weekend Rentals
Weekend Car Rentals
Most Car Classes
PC# 104591
Expires 12/31/2017

Budget:

Budget seems to be the cheapest for me but sometimes the other value brands trump them if they have a killer special. I'm on the road most of October and this deal seemed to work the best for me.

https://www.budget.com/en/home

BCD Code: D626000 (20-25% off - No blackout dates)
+
Coupon Code: UUGZ039

Hotels:

Wyndham: This code seems to work at all wyndham brands except TRYP. Protip: You can go to the main wyndham site and search all the hotels at once - just filter by price. Smilie

https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/

Works with: Baymont Inn & Suites Days Inn Dolce Hotels and Resorts Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Howard Johnson Knights Inn Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ramada Super 8 Travelodge Wingate by Wyndham Wyndham Garden Wyndham Grand Collection Wyndham Hotels and Resorts

Corporate Discount Code: 1000010988 (20% off)

Choice: I had a lot of trouble finding any Choice codes that actually work - most only stay live for a week or two. This seems to be the best one that works at most locations.

https://www.choicehotels.com/

Works With: Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Hotel & Suites, Mainstay Suites, Suburban Extended Stay, Econo Lodge, Rodeway Inn, and Ascend Hotel Collection.

Corporate Code: 00848940 (15% off)

Fall Vacation Deals:

Travelzoo updated updated all their fall deals and there are tons of open dates available including weekends.

https://www.travelzoo.com/collection/fall-deals/

The deals are getting updated but as of sept 25th these are the best deals:

$79-$99 – Virginia Blue Ridge Mountain Lodge w/$50 Credit
$179-$189 – Lake Placid 4-Star Resort incl. Fall Foliage
$89 – Omaha: 4-Star Stay near Old Market District, Save up to 55%
$189 – Discover Nicaragua: 4-Star Ecolodge w/Meals, 40% Off
$649 – Barbados 3-Nt. All-Inclusive Stay for 2, Reg. $1180
$95 – Oklahoma City Sheraton: Save up to 40% through 2017
$199 – Coastal California 4-Star Getaway w/Wine Tastings
$99 – Charming Monterey Escape incl. $40 Dining Credit
$190 – 2-night Lake District stay with dinner, was $380
$215 – Lake Placid: All-Suite Lodge in the Adirondacks
$174 – Poconos Top-Rated Family Resort, 50% Off
$99 – Top-Rated Connecticut Inn & Spa, Reg. $250

Apple Deals has some pretty decent south of the border deals. My advice is don't fall for any of the upsells as that seems to be where they make their $$$

http://www.applevacations.com/fal...ion-deals/

Riu Palace Punta Cana: 3 nights @ $719

ALL-INCLUSIVE! Includes a $1300 resort credit per room for 4-6 night stays or a $2100 resort credit per room for 7 night stays or more! Includes $35 spa credit per adult for an 80-minute Renova Combination massage (cannot be combined with other spa promotions)!

Costa Rica Guanacaste: 3 Nights @ $799

Unlimited-Luxury® Non-stop transfers included - an Apple Exclusive! Includes $200 in resort coupons per room!

Travelocity has a ton of domestic deals but the dates are insanely limited - Most of the deals are just for Oct 9 -11th but they have a few that go over other October dates. Most of the deals only offer 1 room at the huge discounts so guessing in the next 24 hours most of these deals will be gone.

https://www.travelocity.com/g/sl/seasonal

Fall Events:

Universal Orlando Halloween Horror nights is offering up to $50 off with a UPC code on the side of Coca Cola cans sold in Florida.

Protip: The lines are insane on HHN nights at Universal so if you need to buy a ticket last minute go to the help desk in City Walk under the escalator and that will cut a minimum of 30 minutes of your wait.

Note: This is the only event I make it a point to go to every year but if you have local discounts post in the wiki. If anyone can find a Disneyworld's Not So Scary Halloween PLEASE share!

Travel Gadgets:

I just went to France and plugged in my travel fan and the plug literally started smoking in 20 seconds… Turns out my plug adapter didn't have a surge protector in it which could have been very bad… I HIGHLY advise anyone to spend a few more bucks and buy adapters with surge protectors for a few dollars more - Found this on amazon for $6.99 with Prime.

I recently switched my travel card to Chase Sapphire Reserve and SOOOO happy I did. I always pay my cards off so not sure about the interest but the perks are awesome if you travel a lot. Chase currently has a promotion where you get 50,000 points at sign up and 25,000 for every friend you refer (up to 5).

- Free access at hundreds of Lounges

- If you book with Sapphire you automatically get $75,000 in theft and collision insurance.

- Trip delay and baggage insurance

You get a TU just for effort. No Disney Halloween codes yet, was there yesterday and asked a friend who is a premium resort manager. If anyone else has one, by all means!

And coke can for the win! Never been to Tampa Gardens Smilie

Let me know if you get any leads on Disney - they usually have some sort of sale even if it's just pass holders. I actually just got an email from them about Very Merry Christmas discounts but nothing for Halloween Frown

To the best of my knowledge this particular perk is limited only to Chase Sapphire Reserve card and, for example, Chase Sapphire Preferred is NOT eligible. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

It is for the reserve but I would highly recommend the reserve for anyone that travels a lot - I am on the road most of the year and get paid back for my travel expenses so the 3 x 1 points for travel expenses works very well for me.

OP, your fan smoked in France because your adapter didn't have a voltage converter. The one you link doesn't either. If the product you have cannot handle the voltage difference in another country, just because you can physically plug it in doesn't mean it will work...you need a voltage converter.

Checked Avis and Hertz on several dates, even with promo still more expensive than Enterprise. YMMV

I used this last week but you have to fiddle with the dates. I tried Fri-Sat and it said no cars available but when I tried Fri-Mon from the same location it said available!!
