Recurring checkout issue seems like a throttle they're implementing - just keep refreshing or clicking checkout till it goes through. It should eventually... may take several minutes of clicking Wink

I did a chat with Google Store and they issued me a new code after about 10 minutes of waiting. That one worked and I got my order confirmation!

Note: I had to email them a screenshot of my email from NY Times with the code and the "code has already been redeemed" error at the checkout. So get one of those handy.

Be careful of whichever account you are logged in first, I have several Google accounts so the code was applied to the very first account I was auto logged into for.

Try my method. YMMV but it worked my case. Add GH using mobile browser/app, finish checking out using desktop browser

Signed up for a second subscription after first had code stolen. Second code worked and google home is on the way!!!

I might call NYT tomorrow and try to cancel the first order. Else I'll issue a chargeback through paypal. Thanks and repped!!!

well with all the farking people calling:

1) they changed the requirements for this offer
2) the key generator
3) people calling NYT for these codes that were used

what a fiasco for the people who actually paid but didn't get the code to work.
