It's weird because they did SO WELL in Brazil. And no offense to T&T, but what a way to go out. I heard T&T is ranked 99th in the world. And to lose because of an own goal? Freaking tragic.

Arenas has to be fired now. This team lost to the worst team in the group, while two other mediocre teams beat #'s 1&2 in the only way to guarantee us no qualification.

I'm afraid of this setting back US Soccer for a while when it has been steadily gaining momentum. It's too bad.

Yeah that momentum was building. I hope they come back stronger and more determined. I haven't watched all the games during qualifying rounds but they seemed to lack urgency. The last world cup was similar where they'd fall behind early and would have to fight their way back. Made for some exciting matches but you can only do that so many times.
