I've been waiting for this to go on preorder so I can get my mother a good quality basic phone. Thanks OP!
Do you know if this will work with a nano sim card? I am looking at the ones that were overseize and they show micro. I am hoping the U.S. version is nano any ideas?
Unlocked or not why would you want a 3G phone? Most carriers have a cheap or free version that would support LTE. Being unlocked isn't a big benefit if it's garbage. And before you say "my mom doesn't need internet" you can get them a flip/brick for way less than this price IMO. They are selling you on the nostalgia alone.

I believe these will be micro SIM as well. You can use a nano -> micro SIM adapter to get it to work with a nano sim

I didn't know their was adapters this can changes things I think this would be a phone for my pops hes just to old school to adapt to a touch screen, I will just wait till this phone goes down I feel its a little pricey for what they are asking.

Can you point me in the direction of a good quality candy bar style phone that will work on a GSM carrier in the US?

Target and Walmart were both selling the Motorola E4 for $40. Verizon is the official carrier. Spent $2 and unlocked it off eBay and now it works with my AT&T service. You can spend less to get a phone with less features if you want. Just check on eBay first to see if someone sells unlock codes if needed. You can also check with your carrier. Sometimes they give them away in conjunction with adding a new line.

I feel you! My mother has the same issue adapting to touchscreens lol. It's a bit pricey for what it is. But my mother has gone through two cheap $30 dollars that ended dying after less than a year of use. I personally don't mind spending $60 for a high quality phone as long as it will last.

Being Verizon, it should already be unlocked. Unless they treat their prepaid phones differently?
I Also think it is over priced but i was watching one on ebay that was open box it went for 82$. I guess its the hype the drives the price
Any one that is looking for one make sure u do u r research since alot of them online are fakes/ counterfeit and also make sure you buy one that is compatible in the USA Network.
