Itech Deals has the Shrek Forever After Blu-Ray 3D (or 2D Standard Def) on sale for $1.00 with free shipping.

I bought one for $1.90 during the last FP deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/10494468-shrek-forever-after-3d-blu-ray-or-2d-standard-1-89-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch), and while there were some initial issues with shipping and tracking and a delay in receiving my order, I eventually ended up getting 2 copies after emailing their customer service.

I bought this back in May on a sale like this. Never received it. Contacted them about a month ago and they reshipped it.. Still never received it even though I confirmed the address was correct. I give up at this point.

So - To clarify what these are...

Back in the early days of 3D TVs, Samsung sold a "starter set" of 2 pairs of 3D glasses and the Shrek collection on 3D Blu-ray. Now, at the time this set was available, Shrek Forever After was in theaters, or just out and not yet available on Blu-ray. Because of this, the set included a cardboard disc rebate thing where you could fill it out and ship it in to get Shrek Forever After 3D Blu-ray (disc 4 of the set) once it was available. Apparently they severely overestimated how many discs they would need for that rebate promotion because these guys seem to have ended up with thousands and thousands of them to sell for next to nothing.

So to summarize, these are leftovers from a rebate promotion, but they're not pirated at all.

This company use to be another company that sold items and scammed many on SD. Name change got 'em back on the site. Old heads need to wiki this whenever we see the name so people can be cautious.

This disc has been sold for years, how are they continually get an authentic disc to sell? Maybe, there was a massive auction buy ...

That sucks. Looks like people from the August deal got theirs (and a few like me got 2 copies) after some delay and follow-up. Did they issue a tracking number to you when they reshipped? That's what happened with me and the others from the August deal. First one didn't have a tracking number, second did (I specifically asked the customer service rep to provide a tracking number when they reshipped).

Nope. I assume they ship most of these via first class mail to save on shipping since they're losing money on the discs at this price otherwise (Base price for first class with tracking is $2.32, though it might be slightly lower for them if they have a mail agreement.) Not sure if media mail is cheaper at this size.

From the description and what I actually received from the last deal in August, this is an original disc pulled from the collection (Disc 4). If you want the full collection, you can buy it for $15. And yes, it came in a white envelope/CD sleeve.

I added a photo of the 2 discs I received from the August deal to my OP. As described in my OP, I ended up receiving 2 due to some shipping/tracking issues. They don't seem to run a tight ship over there.

I've also watched the movie and the 3D looks great (OLED65C6P).

I ordered the disc last time and received it because oddly enough I'd acquired a "full collection" that was missing disc 4 along with a few other movies when I purchased the 3d addon box my mitsubishi tv required...was a very "dirk gently" moment to see disc 4 being sold for $2 when that's just the one I needed to complete the set. Wink
