No, it's not, but would be even better if it were!! Stick Out Tongue Heck, the in second series, the guy isn't even in most of the episodes... maybe one in four? Probably less, and the ones he's in are often for only short parts. So anyone claiming it's at all like a harem anime like you're describing just doesn't know what they're talking about.

It's definitely does have some light element of 1 guy and a bunch of girls, but if you can get over that, it's one of my favorite anime of all time. It's basically X men vs Magic. They even have a separate series for one of the characters and all the main characters in that series are bad asses in their own right Smilie
