Some cheap wheel stand options:
Ridgid flip top stand [homedepot.com]$30 home Depot. Folds up compact into very few pieces (you may need to add a cheap 10-20lb weight for extra stability). Obviously reusable for construction work.
Kobalt adjustable saw horse from Lowes does NOT work with the jaws on this wheel, false information removed.
Diy with lumber or pvc pipe can be customized but takes more work.
For comparison, nonseat wheel stands start around $120, and $200 with seats. Someone else can list examples and prices

EDIT- Couldn't resist, grabbed the Ps4 version, G29. I'll either give it as a Christmas gift or sell it, should be easy to make most of the money back and come away with a cheap stick shift.
