to pay off phone. for best results. pay off phone by dialing *3 on the phone. all automated. no csr to deal with.

best plan to cancel service = port, port, port out to h20

This WON'T work with Sprint's 1 year free promo. The 1 year free promo can only be upgraded through Sprint online or over the phone

YMMV - L1 sprint agents wont activate but few people had success speaking to L2 agents and getting BYOD upgrade

Total you will pay for the phone is
Right now - $120 for the phone + tax that is based on $480
Billed later - possibly refundable $30 activation fee if you cancel in 14 days + possibly prorated 1st month service

Free 2 year warranty for the phone

Previous $120 LG G6 topics. Read up..so..the same questions dont get asked over and over again

Here is the agreement

Why does the contract show a down payment of 360.24?
Because that is how Best buy does the discounts. They charge tax on the full price of the phone and then "do a down payment" on your behalf to bring the price down to the deal's discounted price.

The one on the left is what I got on one of the phones this morning after about 36 hours from paying off using *3.

When is free line eligible for upgrade? Sprint.com says mine is 9/1/19, but I know that is wrong. Is it after 50 days of service?

I don't think the free lines are eligible even after your "upgrade" date.

Another way is to get a new line and pay off after 15 days. Cancel the line and use the phone on the free line.

Did this a few months ago through Sprint, cancelled line, paid off phone and use it on TMobile. Would they let me do it again?

Found it:
When can I upgrade to a new phone on this promotion?
Upgrades for lines activated on the FREE Unlimited plan will be allowed after 120 days of service. Any upgrades prior to the 120 days will require a plan change to the Unlimited data, talk and text plan. Unfortunately, you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service.

Old upgrade terms in Sept:
If you signed up for the offer before 8/1/17, you can upgrade to a new Sprint phone by leasing or purchasing it in monthly installements after 10/1/17, and you'll still enjoy your free year of service. Any upgrades prior to 10/1/17 will require a plan change to Unlimited data, talk and text and you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service.

If you signed up 8/1/17 or later, you can upgrade to a new Sprint phone by leasing or purchasing it in monthly installements after 12/1/17, and you'll still enjoy your free year of service. Any upgrades prior to 12/1/17 will require a plan change to Unlimited data, talk and text and you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service.

Free BYOD lines will never be eligible I suspect.
My free line is eligible for upgrade, but only through Sprint. Not BBY. Been down this road before.
However, should be able to add a line to your account.( Not a free line), purchase the phone, pay it off. Port out that number later.
Winner winner.
Don't know how long you have to pay for service. I paid a couple months and Free lines are still intact.
