i called xfinity mobile customer care, told them that I wanted to sign up and get the $500 and read online that retentions could do it and asked if they could transfer me....they didnt care at all and said no problem, transferred me over to retentions...told her the same thing again, that i heard theyre able to put me on that promotion if i sign up.
she was gone for 5 mintues and came back and said sure no problem and seemed excited to do it (i wonder if theyre getting good commissions for it since its new) and she was the only to actually point out that i can get the $200 GC from samsung as well.
It took her a while to do it because it seemed like it was the first time she had done a mobile sign up but she got it done, thanks OP repped.
FYI - the person i talked to was regular xfinity retentions NOT mobile retentions.
If you already have Xfinity, you do not qualify for the $500 GC...
But you do qualify for the $200 rebate

i only have Internet and have no need to want to subscribe to a Double Play package. i just want to add 1 mobile line to my existing Internet account.
I need 3 lines. Let's say line 1, I get an iphone X, and the $500 gc makes it $500. For lines 2 and 3, S7 is the cheapest option if I'm looking to BYOD right? Use for 3 months, get $200 gc x2, resell ($150? x2) and use my own phones, net cost is ~$350 for both. That's ~$850 to get a new iphone X and use 2 old phones, which isn't the best deal for the X. But with VZW I'm paying $60/month for access fees, so over a year that's $720 I'd save with XM. That takes the cost down to $130, which is a fantastic deal. The actual phone plans are almost equivalent so I'm not counting it. Am I missing anything? Other than assuming the phones are in stock
