I tried explaining that I would just order from another carrier and get their promotion (and pay the same monthly rate) instead of returning this, ordering a new one, waiting another week, etc, and they didn't budge.
Even tried speaking with retention and they were more than happy to help cancel my service instead of honoring the GC. Am I missing something here?
ALSO: I have not activated my phone. If I send this back am I still eligible for the $500 GC or does just ordering a phone count as being an XM customer?
Credible enough to me to stop me in my tracks until I hear more.
(The explanation is that Comcast servers are involved in routing and prioritizing, and they may not be fine tuned (yet) for the task that is good in theory.)

I want to keep my current t mobile plan. To get this deal, I guess I'll have to get a new phone number with the new phone, turn off data and carry 2 phones in the pocket for 3 months?
Called the customer care 1-800-XFINITY number, selected Customer service than other Option and Remove a service, got directly connected to the Retention department, Rep knew the exact offer I was talking about (I guess by now with so many calls they all know about this offer) She was able to add that offer to the account with 2-day shipping.
Also, She informed that with by the gig you will pay the phone amount in monthly payments and even if you disconnect the XM after 3 months but keep Internet or any other service (Technically account active) you can continue paying the amount in instalment!!!!
